Picture A Day || The Balance of Nature

Humanity and nature. One cannot live without the other. They live as allies, but also as enemies. Man can be selfish, while nature is indifferent and relentless. Cutting down a forest to replace it with its concrete equivalent? Easy. Destroying living spaces with a gust of extra strong wind, along with thunderous roars? Routine. Nature is too large to be pinned to one circumstance, as is man too many to be responsible for the actions of a few. Humanity can only enjoy nature. Living in harmony, balanced. Finding the middle-ground, both giving and both taking. That is how it is, that is how it was, and that is how it will be.

This picture was taken with a OnePlus 8T and was not manually edited by me. What the camera software on smartphones does nowadays is another point. Obviously I used a black and white filter. It was taken at a remote spot a few kilometers behind the only airport on Suriname where people go to become one with their surroundings.
