Picture A Day || The Duality of Pigeons

Pigeons. They aren't my favorite type of bird, and definitely not my favorite animals. Mostly because of how up close and personal they can get. And also the fact that messy things can happen when they fly over you. Other than that, they are kind of fascinating. Walking around in a sort of monotonous brainless manner just putting the same routine on repeat. Scan for food, detect food, scatter when startled. I've heard they're also quite good in soup, but I wouldn't know myself.

Apparently, they also make for a very good photo-op, as is evident in the picture below. I was just walking by, going about my day, when I noticed this gathering of mindless birds, posing with the architecture of Amsterdam in the background.

This picture was taken with a OnePlus 8T and was not manually edited by me. What the camera software on smartphones does nowadays is another point. It's somewhere in Amsterdam not far from the Central Station.
