Just recently I tried explaining Hive in its entirety to a friend, and it dawned upon me how complex it might be if you try to take in all the information at once. Luckily it all becomes clear over time. #dbuzz #hive #meme #proofofbrain #ctp

Lol, I think adding the explanation of Steemit to the mix would confuse them even more though. xD

I can absolutely relate to this and there is so much more to this world that I can't understand however excellent content thank you very much.

Absorbing info one day at a time is the way, as long as we acknowledge that we will never master all of it in one lifetime.

I've gone with... Something like a Facebook on a blockchain with Reddit type voting and possible crypto rewards...
In a nutshell 😂

I'm sure I've offended somebody with this 😁😁😁

That's not a bad way of putting it, bonus points for leaving the words magic internet money out of the explanation. xD

Yes, I slowly told a friend of mine. This method makes more sense. Already when they want to ask questions

Slow and steady is a good approach. In the same way I told a friend to write a blog post first, and that the rest will come later.

I think you really did your best in this situation. I suggested to my friend to do the same.

I have tried to explain and hive and the different ways we can earn money on this blockchain and they always have a confused look of disbelief.
I have a few friends that are on the fence, so I gave them the Hive Guide, I am hoping they will at the very least ask some questions.

I know that confused look, some of them even ask what kind of scam I'm running. xD True. The Hive Guide is also a good resource, now that you mention it.

It is quite something to absorb all at once. The other day I had a brief conversation with my sister about what I am doing. She kind of understood it. We were on the phone so I couldn't see her face but I could hear in her voice that she had some kind of clue what I was talking about. I even got a bit about Splinterlands in there as well.

The fact that you got to put a bit of Splinterlands in there and she didn't mark you down for crazy says that she definitely had some understanding. xD Don't get started about dCity just yet.

No, I have to focus on one at a time, @rarej. Splinterlands is filling up my plate right now. Have a great day! 😀

I tried to get a friend into this recently and he was interested at first but then lost it when I was trying to explain that there’s so many things that go into it. I don’t know what turned him off but it was sad to experience!

Some people just aren't the blogging kind. I had a similar situation where a friend understood what was going on and said he'd rather buy and trade crypto than write about stuff. To each their own I guess.
Do you plan on asking your friend what turned him off?
