My Apologies

I usually upvote every post I read. This has drained my voting mana to the point I can only reward with dust (less than $0.02) if I want to reward all I read. I want to be sure I can reward appropriately when I reach Dolphin this month. Here is my Hive Keychain state.

Over the last few days, I have been trying to use my Voting Mana conservatively but it isn't working. the percentage keeps going down and does not recover much over night.

The only way I can think of to get my Voting Mana recover is to quit upvoting for the next two days. I guess this speaks to the success of ListNerds since all the posts I read any more are from ListNerds emails.

The reason for this post is to apologize to the creators of all the posts I will read over the next 2 days. I know you all deserve to be rewarded but I need to recharge. I will do my best rewarding you with tip tokens.

If there is another way to boost my Voting Mana please let me know in the comments. I am going to use this post in a ListNerds solo email to let everyone know my plans.

The other thing you can see from my Hive Keychain stats is that I have enough Hive tokens to make Dolphin. I was going to wait until July Powerup Day. I was trying to do Powerup Month but I missed a day. I would have sworn I powered up at least on token but I evidently missed June 9th. I will have to try again next month. Now, I may just go ahead and become a Dolphin. What do you think?

It happened to me last week that I needed a couple of days to recover my Mana. Great work towards Dolphin though ! Keep up the good work. !ALIVE !CTP

I try not to let mine go below 90 percent. Sometimes 88. I just don't vote. People understand.

It happens to me at least 2 - 3 times a week. No need to apologize or worry about it. You'll recover and be back happily rewarding in no time. What I do is I go ahead and read, then return and vote when possible.

Onward and Upward to DOLPHIN!....no need to wait for power up. THEN CELEBRATE with a blog!

Make sure you have a cake, balloons, and punch! and don't forget to include family!

If it were me, I would go for Dolphin. There is a power-up day every month. I would not wait.

That's okay! What I see others doing in such cases is lowering the vote percentage for each post so they don't go below 70-80%. Because it's better to vote at 99% (more payout for both sides) than at 60%. That way everyone wins.

Did you use the voting slider in the peakd settings? You can set this (f.e.) to 1% for comments and 30% for posts.. this way you auto click on a lower percentage than 100% for everything.

I rarely vote 100% to spare the VP..

When I am charged up. I usually vote at 40%. The last 3 days I have been doing 30%. If I go any lower I am rewarding less than $0.01

There is nothing to be sorry about. One trick that I use is not to give 100% upvote. In this way, you can keep your voting power as high as possible and as optimal as possible.

I never do 100% usually 40%. The are just a lot of posts coming through ListNerds.

I didn't know about this too that at a time I drained my voting mana to 40% until I learned from a friend that it is best to keep our vp above 80%. So it's okay to not upvote to recharge your voting power. I did the same thing for a few days and now trying to distribute my votes in smaller percentage to avoid draining it so soon.

I'm sorry you missed a day in the PUM. It's a challenge to always remember doing the power up everyday until you get used to it :)

You are kind and thoughtful... don't worry about it. We all have to recharge from time to time. As a double dolphin, it STILL happens to me occasionally. Just recharge when you need to and come back strong.

Don't worry about it Bob. Recharge your VP for a few days, then look at smaller percentage upvotes. You've been great with your support all round, and people will understand.

It is understandable - you are kind and always comment and vote on my posts as well.

You asked for suggestions.

One way would be to avoid voting on old posts. The rewards are not given a value and there will be no payout. The only thing that happens is that your voting mana is depleted.
If you stop voting on old posts - you will save you a lot of voting mana for current posts and new comments.

You're quite active on Hive, and commenting, posting more now. I wouldn't worry about the votes. We all have it. When I was still a dolphin my 100% vote was worth maybe 0.07-0.10 USD, so 10 upvotes and a few for comments here and there would drain it quickly.
Now even faster since I only have half the HP.
People all understand. But it's very nice of you to mention it.
