No votes, No comments, I will quit Hive, this is why you should make Hive your favorite social platform

Smile..., This thought always comes to our minds, when we are new in something, not only in Hive, but you know what? when this kind of thought wants to come to shake you, don't be scared, instead believe in yourself, that you will get there, the people who are at the top, were in blockchain before you, so thinking about becoming like them, in just one week, you signed up, is like a mistake you make, because you shouldn't be thinking about something like that, instead you should work hard, keep doing the necessary things and aim your way to the top.

I wouldn't say it much though, because once, I found myself having this thought of, why don't I have votes when others are achieving hundreds of votes on their posts, why are there no comments on my posts when others have comments on their posts, do other Hivers even know @repayme4568 exists?, these keep flowing in my mind, so many random thoughts keep coming, at some point, I started blaming it was because of my handle, maybe people thought I was a gold digger, maybe my handle scared them away from my post, but all these were not true, then one day I voice out, because I was tired and by that time, I was even considering myself out of the blockchain.

But it was that day I realized that, shared problem is half solved, guess what, after making a post ranting, stating that, no one in the blockchain cares about me, many people came to my help, and all of them came with their advice, some enlighten me on the things I didn't know, and much more educate me on the ways in which I should follow, in order to grow so well in the blockchain.

I am not going to say the names of the people who advised me, because this post was not meant for that, but I am thanking each and every one of them, who listened to my cries, gave me their time out of their busy schedule and listened to me. It was a journey from all of you to me, and I am grateful.

So for this post, I have noticed that some new people who have just joined the platform, may be wondering, how come there are no big votes on their post like the others, how come there are no comments, and sometimes, maybe they are making comparison of themselves to another long time user, who were on the blockchain before them. Comparison, ranting and feeling bad all the time is not the way to go on the blockchain.

You see, there are some words that, you'll hear people say on the streets, and maybe we tend to look at those words as nothing, the thing is, some of those words are actually positive vibes, I know you've heard some people say, "time will tell about me and you, in time I will excel in life, or time is a great teacher" so as a writer on hive, eventually you're going to get those votes, those massive comments, you're going to get them eventually, and those beautiful engagements, that you see on other users' posts, that top the leaderboard, you're going to get them.

So instead of being mad at yourself or whatever and thinking you should quit, start making friends on the blockchain in any way you can, I've seen one user whose own style of engagement on the blockchain is through Twitter, this user picked a good post that she thought was good enough and showed it on Twitter, and many users of the blockchain, who connect with her on twitter or through the hashtags hive and posh on twitter see her engagement, people know it's her own form of engagement, create your own creativity, it doesn't have to be the way others are doing theirs.

As I have said before in other articles, you have to be unique and that will easily make you stand out from the crowd.

Instead of getting angry and thinking about leaving Hive, have people to look up to, let them motivate you and dream of becoming like them one day.
Like me, I have people who drive me in blockchain, and every day, I go to their blog and read some posts, if you want to be like your idol, you should first of all, like the way the person writes, so that you will always be interested to read their post.

Once you are still here in the blockchain and keep doing your best, you would be like that your idol, in as much, much is expected, much is needed.
