▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Hello community, I bring a new post to share my Brawl battles and with the points received I opened a new pack of Gladius cards

Last week I made a post about my Brawl battles on fray Untamed in which for the first time I got the full 7 victories, who didn't have the opportunity to watch and are curious, I leave the link to the post: MY BRAWL BATTLES REPORT

It was surprising that I got the full on fray Untamed because I didn't have my cards from the Untamed Edition, just the cards given by the game, and so I rented some cards that I thought could make a difference in battle along with my Gladius cards.

After finishing the battle stage I understood that it may seem more difficult because we can only use Untamed cards, but it is not at all, as there is not so much choice of cards, we focus on specific cards that can make a difference in the battle, because my strategy is to always try to use a Gladius card, if the ruleset is favorable to allow card abilities, because Gladius cards have Bloodlust ability, they create greater superiority in battle, and as I still have few Gladius cards, ( opened 2 packs to date) my focus is to see which Gladius card is most appropriate for battle and with that I choose the Splinter and the set of cards to form the battlefield.

As the strategy had good results, I acted in the same way and went back to choosing the Untamed fray, and for each battle I proceeded with the same principles of choosing to form the battlefield. At the end of the stage I won all the battles, and I was very happy, for having managed to get 14 consecutive victories in Brawl battles in 2 stages and some great victories against players with a lot of card power and greater game experience.

The time has come to participate in the next stage with a certain receipt for a psychological bar being high, coming from victories, but I have not changed my rumor and then choosing the Untamed fray, as if to say, "team that wins is to keep then" " and so it was. But it's difficult to say my set of cards, if on the one hand there were more battles, but on the other hand there were battles it was for more difficulties, and that's why from another series it was so like battles for the end of another series. all the battles and this was even worse because of the cards, and this has already been decided as a result.
I won the first battle, let's go to the next one, another victory, good! let's go to the next one, one more victory, excellent, come the next opponent, and one more victory, get to the last fight and I'm thinking, well I've won all the battles so far, just one more to go and I'll have the full number of victories in 3 stages in a row, when fighting the fight a certain nervousness about the final result, balanced fight but I managed to win the battle and wonderful, excellent, 19 wins in a row in Brawl battles is a very good achievement for me that I achieved in the Splinterlands game with little game experience, and it will be difficult to increase the number of victories in a row, but in the end you still have the right to open a Gladius pack and I got 4 more new cards that I didn't have, which will help a lot in my battle formation and complicate the choices a bit, for the more choices we have, the easier it is to make mistakes in choosing the best for each card.

Well enough words, let's get to the action...

Rented Cards

As I only have the Untamed cards given by the game, I rented some important cards for my battles without spending much dec, in total I spent 19 dec on rent

1.jpg

  • Magnor - Good card with Taunt skill
  • Lobstradamus - Shield skill with good hit points
  • Soulstorm - I have little choice for Splinter Death, so Flying card with good attack is important
  • Dragon Jumper - Impressive card that makes the difference in any battle, in addition to its attack, its abilities make the card indispensable
  • Cornealus -Neutral card with Heal skill must also be part of the choice option in my battles

Battle 1

b1.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Heavy Hitters
  • 12 Mana
  • Splinter: Fire / Death / Earth

Given the set of rules for this battle, there was little mana available to form the battlefield, so my option was to choose a strong Gladius card with Bloodlust ability that could hold the fight. So I chose Kotriphus Bayne for tank, having 12 life points in a low mana battle, it's the best available card I could choose.

Battle 2

b2.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Explosive Weaponry / Spreading Fury
  • 48 Mana
  • Splinter: Fire / Dragon

In this battle we had a lot of mana points to use, the choice would be between using summoner +1 speed or +1 armor, and in terms of my Gladius cards I could choose between Chimney Wallstop (5 attack / 8 life) or Larissa Kerato (2 attack - attacks 2x / 3 life) in a battle with Blast and Enrage, speed, Melee attacks and life points are important, since I chose the Chimney Wallstop as it has a good attack, with Blast it creates a lot of damage to the second monster, and having Bloodlust ability, either dies the tank or the target hit by the Blast, the skill is activated. So choosing Splinter Fire, I thought it would be better to avoid Snipe / Sneak and Opportunity attacks and focus the attacks on my tank and the Blast to be applied to my second monster, for that to happen I needed a monster with Taunt ability, and I had Magnor.
Then I chose the Chimney that would give way to the Taunt when it died and to protect the future second line I chose Cornealus, having the Heal skill, it would hold up with some Blast and the set that followed was designed to damage the opponent in various sectors of the battle, combining Snipe with Opportunity.

Battle 3

b3.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Reverse Speed / Equalizer
  • 26 Mana
  • Splinter: Fire / Life / Water / Earth

In this battle I had good cards to use from Splinter Fire, but given the ruleset it was not advantageous to use the summoner Pyre (+1 Speed to monsters), when by the ruleset the monsters attack in reverse order.
So I needed a strong tank with low speed to allow the opponent to miss the attacks, so I chose Lobstradamus with the Shield skill I could hold the first line a few rounds, so with that I used my Gladius Isgald Vorst card in addition to the Bloodlust skill has Opportunity, then Cornealus to protect me from Snipe attacks and finally Ice Pixie having Flying ability to force the enemy to miss Sneak attacks.

  • Opponent Fled

Battle 5

b5.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Back to Basics
  • 25 Mana
  • Splinter: Fire / Life / Water / / Death / Earth

According to the ruleset, monsters lost their abilities, so it wasn't more advantageous to use Gladius card because it lost Bloodlust ability, so monsters attack the first line, needed a strong tank to beat and hold on with it, for That's why I chose Magnor and Ranged attack cards with good speed to try to eliminate the opponent's tank quickly before they did too much damage to Magnor, because if Magnor died it would be a complicated battle with only Ranged cards.

Battle 6

b6.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Aim True / Holy Protection
  • 17 Mana
  • Splinter: Life / Water / Death

With a reduced Splinter choice and under the Holy Protection ruleset I didn't want a Gladius card to play as a tank because it was difficult to apply its ability and it would take more damage than it would, so for that I had Isgald Vorst with Opportunity skill, and to protect this card I didn't want to use it in second position to delay giving way to the tank and thus increase its powers and not be in last so as not to suffer Sneak attacks, so I used it in third position, protected with Flying cards and how tank I used Lobstradamus.

Battle 7

b7.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Silened Summoners / Odd Ones Out
  • 34 Mana
  • Splinter: Water / Earth

For this battle, only Splinter Water or Earth could be chosen, and only odd cards, and for that I could choose the card Gladius Isgald Vorst or Palidon Rakk.
Palidon Rakk is the best card and would imply using Splinter Earth but on the other hand it had better odd cards than Splinter Water, which made me choose Isgald Vorst. The composition of the battlefield was practically choosing the places because there wasn't much choice available, so as a tank it had to be the Serpent Of Eld, and trying to protect my Gladius card in the middle of the battlefield to hold on in the rounds and apply your Bloodlust skill before reaching the first row.

Battle 1

c1.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Back to Basics / Keep Your Distance
  • 18 Mana
  • Splinter: Life / Death

Starting a new Battle Stage, for this battle it was allowed Splinter Water or Death cards with little mana to choose the battlefield, in addition the monsters lost their abilities and we couldn't use Melee attack cards, so Gladius cards couldn't apply your Bloodlust skill, and choosing the summoner only left 15 mana to form the battlefield, however I have the Captain Katie card from Splinter Life from Gladius Edition that has 3 magic attack with 6 life points, it was the best choice available even if you can't apply your skill.
Having said that, since Captain Katie is my best card on the battlefield, I chose to use her in the last position so that, before reaching the first line and suffering attacks, I have already caused enough damage to the opponent. So I had 8 mana left, using a Ranged attack card on the first line wouldn't be advantageous because I couldn't attack, so I used Elven Mystic as a tank and then Tower Griffin to do maximum damage to the opponent and protect my last card.

Battle 2

c2.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Equalizer / Earthquake
  • 48 Mana
  • Splinter: Fire / Life / Earth / Dragon

With this set of rules I had to choose the best card with Flying ability to not suffer damage due to Earthquake, and for that I had Dragon Jumper from Splinter Dragon, and it could combine with another Splinter, I had good options to choose with Fire or Life, but I chose Fire due to the Equalizer, because choosing Life would use Captain Katie in the formation, but as all monsters would have their life points increased, it would be more complicated for Captain Katie to apply Bloodlust, so I chose Splinter Fire choosing the Gladius card , Chimney Wallstop. I didn't use it as a tank but in the second position in order to weaken the enemy first before taking the place of a tank, and that's why for tank I chose Magnor, and the cards with Flying ability in the last positions leaving Cornealus in the last position to hold Sneak attacks.

Battle 3

c3.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Close Range
  • 50 Mana
  • Splinter: Death

Well in this battle there was no choice of Splinter, and with that we would probably both have the same Summoner, my card Gladius Kotri phus Bayne had to occupy the first position to try to apply his ability, and to protect me from Snipe attacks and the rest of the battle formation I used in the second position Cornealus, and consequent Ranged attack cards, for the end I left Elven Defender to protect the Ranged cards from Sneak attacks, because they have low life points, and being the last card in the battle, the enemy choosing Ranged cards could have an advantage at the end, if my Elven Defender reached the tank position, the opponent would have Ranged cards and there it would make a difference in the outcome of the battle.
I could have changed the composition of the battle with Cornealus, saving Sneak attacks but harming Snipe attacks, so I understood that this way would be safer

Battle 4

c4.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Aim True / Explosive Weaponry
  • 21 Mana
  • Splinter: Water / Death / Earth

For this battle with Blast ruleset and low mana, I had to make a difference by choosing cards with good speed, to attack before the enemy and thus apply Blast before he could apply it to my monsters. With low mana available, I would have to take into account having a good card for the tank and a good card and with good health behind the tank, because if I chose cards with low health at the end of the first round, I would only be fighting with the tank, it could be good or bad, depending on the value of the tank.
For that I chose Splinter Earth to use Palidon Rakk, with excellent health, 3 attack applies 2 Blast and being a Gladius card has excellent possibility to apply Bloodlust both in attack and Blast, and so I could hold my first line, later I chose cards with good speed to attack before the enemy, Mitica Headhunter with 4 attack, apply 3 of Blast and to complete Child Of The Forest, thus having two good cards with 5 speed, and a good tank with Bloodlust ability.

Battle 5

c5.jpg

Battle Rules

  • Stampede / Earthquake
  • 40 Mana
  • Splinter: Life / Death / Dragon

Now, in battles with Earthquake, I can't help but choose Dragon Jumper, and that's why it has to be Splinter Dragon with Gladius card, of the available Splinters not having Flying ability, it has to be a card with good life points not to lose to Earthquake, so I chose Kotriphus Bayne, and I used it as a tank and had few choices to form the battlefield other than Ranged cards, so I used Dragon Jumper in second position, to protect Ranged cards, Soulstorm having Flying ability I used it in the middle of the battlefield between Ranged cards, being an important card to not suffer Snipe attacks and protect it from Sneak attacks and for that I chose Cornealus in the last position.
