Tether Joins the Fight Against Child Abuse Content Marketplaces
No matter what, you always do your best to protect your child from any harm. Unfortunately, you cannot ignore what's going on and should stand against any sort of child abuse. Tether collaborates INHOPE to take a bold move against child abuse material marketplaces.
INHOPE is an international network fighting against online Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in order to eliminate child sexual abuse material online. We are moving forward. But because of some bad actors, we have to see things that are unexpected.
It is a good move for Tether to collaborate and join the fight to make the digital world free of child sexual abuse material. When you talk about cryptocurrency, crypto critics point their fingers at using crypto for illicit and illegal activities.
Which currency is used most for illegal and illegal activity? The answer is obvious. It's fiat currency. But they will not point their fingers at the existing financial system. Even if there are illicit activities in crypto, that's very little compared to fiat currency.
The thing is, what happens in crypto is visible on the blockchain. That makes it easy to track. Bad actors may not want to get caught. So I think the number of illicit and illegal activities in crypto will decline drastically and that will be negligible.
Tether's move shows a positive sign about what can be done in crypto to stop any sort of child abuse material online. No one supports any illicit and illegal activities. Crypto gives people freedom and control that they cannot get from the existing financial system.
In the name of investors' protection and the fight against illegal activity, the central authority goes hard to crack down on cryptocurrency. They try to paint a picture that people who involve in crypto do bad things. They indicate crypto is criminal money and you should stay away from it to be a good citizen.
The central authority has its own agenda and they are too busy to implement that. You are in crypto and you are not a child. You can decide what is good for you.
The big tech companies see which direction it is moving and they want to be a part of it to survive and grow. Technology does not care who you are and it will move forward at its own speed. Be with it or stay behind.
