Welcome to Day 20 of your #3StepsNoExcuses journey with me, Rob Willmann.

Now that you're familiar with the format here (3 simple steps to complete each day) let's get started!

Today's Three Steps:

  1. Training Videos like CTP's "The 4 Types" are a treasure. Worth watching twice.
  2. Write a blog post on CTPtalk.com about your experience with ListNerds.
  3. Authenticity helps you stand out. Watch Plus 1 Success Day 20 "Be Authentic"

Let's go through each of these steps and grow together as marketers.

1. Training Videos like CTP's "The 4 Types" are a treasure. Worth watching twice.

After you're in CTP, click Training > Lessons. Once you're in the training session, look for the "4 Types" video training in the Profit! section.

What kind of marketer are you?

  • The Grumpy Gus?
Marketers who've been torched in other services or programs typically fall into this category. Once someone is taken advantage of in that way online by someone, it becomes hard for them to trust others. Build trust with grumpy gus types by being patient and being there.

  • The Cautious Cathy?
Many people are cautious. You need to work with them daily. They'll overcome reluctance by observing your consistency.

  • The Slot Machine Marketer?
I buy it all. They need consistency. They move from program to program to find what works. Needs focus and patience.

  • Or the Future Frank?
These were once grumpy gus. But they've learned from past mistakes, and take steps forward with better judgment now. Growth comes from taking action every day.

I do agree that we aren't all pidgeon-holed into specific categories, but probably react in different ways in difference scenarios.

I'd like to think that I am Future frank as much as I can be. Let's get through this first 30 day iteration and come back to this question and see what we are.

2) Write a blog post on CTPtalk.com about your experience with ListNerds.

Once you're logged in, go to your Mail History and give it a hard stare.

When I see my own subject lines and percentages, it helps that I've taken screenshots of all of these to make it easy for me to remember what the email looked like.

I have some thoughts on my results but it looks like there's one headline specifically that outshines the rest.

That's: "Want to improve your results with List Nerds?"

I believe that one works as a good subject like because it targets List Nerd users specificzlly with a problem: low results, and a solution: my help improving them. At least that's my working theory.

This blogpost itself is my answer to step 2. :)

It's time for the final step:

^ That's me cheesing with the note from the kind person who delivers my food.

3) Authenticity helps you stand out. Watch Plus 1 Success Day 20 "Be Authentic"

Once you're logged in to Plus 1 Success, in the Video section watch Day 20's "Be Authentic".

I love this video.

Fake it till you make it is a phrase we heard often when I worked as a counselor in a substance abuse rehab center. It didn't work there. It won't work here.

Sometimes you knock it out of the park, and some days you beef it.

Either way, be authentic and let your true self show in your videos, emails, etc.

Example: My orders food from the grocery and has it delivered to our door.

The other day our delivery person left us a note on top of a package of cookies we ordered. so I tweeted about it:

THAT's authentic. That stands out. That made my day.

What can we do to stand out in simple ways like this

With that, have a wonderful day. Go start promoting your online business with the new tools you now have in-hand.

That's it! Cya tomorrow. Please reach out to me if you have questions.
