There are so many turning points or big jumps forward in innovations and inventions. I would have to say space travel. The human race has always been explorers. Space travel opened up a whole new frontier for us to explore and contemplate about.
I would go back to the caveman and say the harnessing of the power of fire to cook food and provide warmth.
The Renaissance, where cities grew and the feudal system was replaced by the capitalist system, and also the Industrial Revolution, which involved the creation of machines to meet the market demand at that time.

Every event had its own impact on shaping humans
Congratulations David @darmst5339 for winning the spin today! Believe it or not, in my humble opinion, I think the most significant event in the history of the human race lasted about 33 years. It was the life of Jesus here on earth. There is a lot more that could be said about that but not enough room.
I agree there have been many moments in History that have shaped and moulded, probably one of the biggest Paradigm shifts that I note is the Industrial Revolution, this really changed the way of living all over the globe and has been on a roller coaster ever since
There are a lot of events which had changed the course of human race In the past. Discovery of wheel , use if fire, knowledge of medicines and a lot of others so it’s really difficult to choose a single one.
