Roll up, Roll up, The Greatest Gift of all

In my last post I spoke about no matter what you are doing, remember to take time to ensure your family values take priority.

We can often get so caught up in trying to make ends meet and trying to better our situation that we can easily forget the greatest gift of all and that is Family and Friends.

I was fortunate to have 10 days off and my partner and I went to see, first two of her grown children in a city called Melbourne, that was great visit and we spent 3 days there, unfortunately her son and his partner had tested positive on the day we got there so we only managed to see him fleetingly as we dropped off a batch of groceries.

However we did get to spend time with her daughter and her partner which was really exciting, not having seen them for a couple of years.

We then headed to Adelaide to see my Family, my sister, nieces and nephews and also my Mother. I had not seen them since mid 2019 so it was definitely overdue.

My Mother is 91 and managed to take me and my partner on a massive 5 hours hike at a very fast pace, we did 12 Kilometres Power walking we call it, she showed us all the spots that she feels comfortable, and shared with us the things that matter to her, which is peace, serenity and a good place to read a book. She showed us every park bench she sits on to read.

The next day we did another 10 Kilometre Walk over and around an Island

This woman is quite amazing and very very active.

I often say that if I have half the level of activeness and energy that she has when I reach 90, I will be doing so very well.

It was fortunate that we were able to spend this important time with family and reminds me to make sure I create a space and place where Family is important and to remind them , and myself of that importance every day
