My Favorite Sport- Football

Today, I'll be writing on this week's first topic about a favorite sport, #w3e1 from #hivelearners community.

I have always been a fan of football from way back. When I was much younger, I was my eldest brother favorite so I always hung out with him even on days that he goes to the field. I got so much interest in the game that I would tag along with my school mates whenever there's a football competition or most times during the training, to enjoy the view but I never participated.

The game is so exciting, the unpredicted goals, the dribbling, skills makes it more fun to view and most times addictive. It's a very lucrative and career base sport

A little about how it's being played

Football is a highly competitive game between two teams,that consist of 11 players on both sides, while one stays at the goalpost as the ball keeper to prevent the ball from entering the net. It also a game played with collective efforts where both team strive to be in possession of the ball to get goals.

Players are not allowed to touch the ball with their hands, push, hit or knock down each other. It's a game of dribbling and skills, it also involves running, walking and most times jumping.

Football is played with time, the fist half and second half with the total time of 90mins and on most occasion an extra 30mins is given.
There's a single man called the referee who ensures that the game is played fairly within this period of time.

Football helps boost our immune, gives body fitness and keeps the body healthy and agile. It's a game I so much enjoy watching, and would love to engage in someday.
