My Disintegrator Story

Our Battle Story is about a common neutral monster popularly feared as the Disintegrator! With demoralized ability, this monster “reduces the Melee attack of all enemy monsters.” With such capability, the instinctive tendency of any Splinterlands player when they see a Melee ruleset is to include this monster into their team.

Introducing the Disintegrator

There is the town, my child. That is why we have come here. Destroy them! Stampede through their homes, and drink their blood until your appetite is sated, my beautiful Disintegrator (Source).

This terrifying command came from the mouth of Morloth, the one who created the Disintegrator. One evening, he led the monster to a peaceful town to test the destructive power of his creation.

Statistics

With the depressed prices of Splinterlands cards, a level 1 Disintegrator only costs $0.10. In preparation for the Silver league, a player has to combine 60 level 1 cards to reach level 5. At this level, Disintegrator will have another capability, and that is the Trample ability. With this additional skill, this monster when it “hits and kills its target, will perform another attack on the next monster on the enemy team.”

At level 8, this monster will have a Knock-out ability. He “does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned.” This level is suitable for Gold League and up.

However, if one wants to reach the maximum level of the Disintegrator, which is level 10, one has to combine 400 level 1 cards. The current market price is $39.60. Reaching this level is appropriate both for Diamond and the Champions League.

Battle Line-up

Battle Link

Ruleset

Super Sneak: All Melee attack monsters have the sneak ability.

Rise of the Commons: Only common and rare monsters may be used in battle.

Mana Cap: 52

Tank: Unicorn Mustang

image.png

My favorite tank especially against the magic attackers. An ideal frontline warrior due to his high attack, speed, and high health.

Second Position: Nectar Queen

image.png

I included Nectar Queen in the team due to its 4 Melee attacks. Since this is a “Sneak Fight,” I anticipate that such a high attack will destroy even the backline supporters with Shield ability.

Third Position: Elven Defender

image.png

I only use this Neutral Warrior in rare cases such as the one we have now. With high health and two Melee attack, this monster will offer good support in attacking the backline defender.

Fourth Position: Pelacor Mercenary

image.png

The same reason as with Elven Defender. This mercenary will provide good support to the team with his two Melee attacks and high health.

Fifth Position: Disintegrator

image.png

Disintegrator is a Common Neutral monster. In terms of health, it is the weakest in the team. Its power lies in reducing all the Melee attacks of the enemy monsters.

Last Position: Mycelic Infantry

image.png

With Shield ability, positioning Mycelic Infantry at the back provides the team the strongest support.

Battle Results

image.png

This is a fight between the earth and life splinters. Unlike the other player’s team, all my monsters are Melee attackers. Moreover, except for Disintegrator, all of them have high health. Since this is a “Sneak Battle” of common monsters, putting Mycelic Infantry at the back is part of the battle strategy. On the other hand, the other player seems not worried about the rule due to the presence of Shieldbearer who has the taunt ability. Such ability somehow protects the weakest and the backline for the attacks of all enemy monsters is concentrated on this monster. The only setback is that once this warrior has been taken down, the battle strategy will soon collapse.

This battle lasted for four rounds.

Round 1

The Ranged Warriors of the other player are too strong. They took down Unicorn Mustang.

Round 2

Nectar Queen replaced Unicorn Mustang in the first position but was also easily taken down by Ranged attackers. However, from this point onwards, the battle trend shifted in favor of the earth splinters. This round is the turning point of the battle. The seeds of destruction sown by my Melee warriors in the earlier round bore fruit in the second round. Three warriors in the enemy’s camp were destroyed. Shieldbearer and Elven Defender died almost at the same time. Without Shieldbearer, Pelacor Arbalest, the strongest ranged fighter that played the major role in the destruction of both Unicorn Mustang and Nectar Queen is now very vulnerable. He too followed his comrades to the other world with one strike from the Disintegrator.

Third Round

The enemies are left almost defenseless.

Fourth Round

Mantoid was the last enemy that was taken down.
