Concerning capital, I agree with you that despite talents and resources, the lack of access to capital is a major obstacle to one's national economic development. I think our anti-capitalistic policy such as the 60/40 ownership in corporations in favor of the nationals is the reason why foreign investors prefer countries like Vietnam over the Philippines. Such a policy discourages the growth of direct foreign investment. Thanks to the BPO industry and our OFWs that somehow offset the outcome of such a destructive policy.
