A fun and peaceful Saturday to all fans of Splinterlands all over the world!

My choice this time for Share Your Weekly Battle Story will come from the Death Splinters. Though I had a great time using the Death Team when I was just starting the game, recently I find it difficult to increase my winning rate without renting powerful cards.

The Undead Rexx is cheap and you will find it very useful especially in a rule set that is favorable to Melee monsters.

Statistics

The current market price of a level 1 regular card is just $0.16. If you want to use Dark Energy Crystals (DEC), you just have to pay 282.251. This token is the currency used in the game.

However, if you prefer to collect gold cards, a level 3 gold Undead Rexx is now worth $2.48. Upgrading it to level 5 to obtain the Trample ability, you need to combine 5 cards and that will cost you $12.40. Nevertheless, if you have a lower budget you can just buy 60 regular cards and combine all of them and Undead Rexx will have the same ability. In this case, you only need $9.60.

By the way, a monster with the Trample ability will perform another attack on the next enemy if it is successful to hit and killing its first target. According to the game rules, this ability often works best when the first two monsters on the player’s team have it.

Battle Lineup

Battle Link

Ruleset:

Explosive Weaponry: All monsters have the Blast ability.

Melee Mayhem: Melee attack monsters can attack from any position.

This is the reason why I selected Daria Dragonscale and the Death Splinters. Daria will give an additional Melee attack to all friendly monsters. This ruleset is very favorable to those monsters who have a high Melee attack, particularly those with Opportunity ability.

Mana Cap: 36

This mana limit is average for me. Though I prefer a high mana limit such as 50 and above, a 36-mana cap is just fine for me to deploy powerful warriors with medium mana. Only Undead Rexx has a nine-mana among the four monsters in the team.

Tank: Harklaw

image.png

Harklaw is my chosen tank due to its Shield ability. This is a legendary fighter that can reduce damage from the attack of both Melee and Ranged enemies. It is weak when confronted by magic enemies. Since the second rule is Melee Mayhem, I anticipate that the other player will also utilize Melee monsters.

Second Position: Nightmare

image.png

The low Melee attack of this monster is compensated by its speed and high health. With Daria, Dragonscale as its summoner, Nightmare will be more powerful as a result of an additional Melee weapon. I placed it in the second position to replace Harklaw as a tank just in case the latter will die early in the game. Furthermore, its speed will sometimes protect it from slow enemies by escaping their attacks.

Third Position: Undead Rexx

image.png

Undead Rexx is our star monster in this battle story. It is in the third position to give it higher protection and at the same time, with its high Melee attack can also inflict the enemies with great harm, and in other cases, even complete destruction. Besides, this monster is slow and that is why the player must be cautious in choosing the exact position for this monster to have its high utility in the game.

Last Position: Dragon Jumper

image.png

This powerful warrior is a member of the dragon splinters. With its Opportunity ability, speed, and high Melee attack, it has the advantage of both first offense and high damage. There are cases where an enemy with low mana especially those without shields can be annihilated in just one attack. The destructive power of this combatant has been intensified with the Explosive Weaponry rule for enemies on both sides of its target will also suffer damage.

Battle Results

This battle is between the combined forces of death and neutral splinters against the combined forces of death and dragon. Daria with a powerful death team and Dragon Jumper in her command, this fight was easy. It only lasted two rounds.

First Round

Dragon Jumper enjoyed its first offensive attack advantage by killing the enemy in the last position, Cursed Slimeball. With his three Melee attacks, he also inflicted two damage to Silent Sha-vi and thereby reducing the health of the latter to three.

Nightmare attacked the enemies’ tank next, Cursed Windeku. The Sneak Attack of Silent Sha-vi has been invalidated due to the speed of Dragon Jumper. The former missed its chance to inflict harmer on the dragon warrior.

Harklaw’s attack on Cursed Windeku decreased the health of the enemies’ tank to just 5 making it very vulnerable to Undead Rexx’s devastating ability. Our star monster took advantage of the situation and killed Cursed Windeku with just one blow and also diminished Riftwing’s health to just one.

Second and Last Round

As round two started, Dragon Jumper Riftwing from the battlefield and destroyed the protective shield of the Disintegrator. Finally, Silent Sha-vi was able to hit Dragon Jumper. Unfortunately, the strength of the remaining enemies is not sufficient enough to change the direction of this battle. Our leading character in this story sealed its team victory by killing both the Disintegrator and Silent Shav-vi with just one ending attack.

How about you? Have you tried Undead Rexx in your battles? How’s your experience?
