There was a great famine in the land of Samaria in those days, because the Benhadad who was the king of Syria came up against Samaria and beseiged it.

The famine was so terrible that people began to sacrifice, give their children up to be cooked as food inorder to get something to eat.Hmm.... Imagine that kind of situation. What a terrible situation the land of Samaria was in those days?

The report of people killing their children in exchange for food came to the king of Samaria, and he was very sad that he rented his cloth and clothed himself with sackcloth. The situation of the land was a bitterness of heart to him.

There was a man called Elijah, the servant of the living God,who promised them of abundance. Some people believed while some never believed. It was not their fault,it was because of what was happening at that time. Some people in Nigeria might also be thinking that there is no hope for all the things that are happening now,but I believe that there is still hope for our country.

HOW DID IT HAPPENED (THE ABUNDANCE OF FOOD)?

There were four LEPERS,whom the people was Samaria have abandoned. They have rejected , despised, even they separated them from other people. They were forsaken People, living at the entering in of the gate. These four LEPERS were also affected by the famine. One day they asked themselves a serious question"WHY SIT WE HERE UNTIL WE DIE".Hmm....What a serious question it is?They didn't just said so,but they took steps , risking their lives to go into the camp of the Syria. They we're ready to die,but at the end,God brought the abundance of food which He has promised through His Servant(Elijah) to pass.

NOW THE LESSONS TO LEARN FROM THE STORY 👇

  1. Never ever see yourself as a useless person or hopeless person. God can use you to bring abundance of good things to the whole world.

  2. Never be afraid to take a step after making a decision to do something.Always try to kill the fear of failures.
