At first I thought this is a joke or one of those SpaceX enthusiast that build phones that have nothing to do with the Tesla or SpaceX, but somehow have either branding or a name on their products. For example this one?
So, OK, after watching this video it seems that a Starlink smartphone is still just an idea, and it is reserved to happen some time in the future. Like most of his projects.
Basically, it is another sensationalistic bullshit while a final product is far from finished. Also, I personally think that most of Elon Musk fans are either demented or really stupid to gobble down most of the echo. Anyways, back to the product...
It is called the Tesla Phone Model Pi and suppose to destroy the industry. I thought we suppose to upgrade industry. Not destroy it.
I also have to "destroy" the narrator right away... he is not a richest man on Earth because his wealth is not bound to a liquid asset. Liquid, not stock options. When they find that person, I would love to know his name. But it is not one whose whole wallet relies on imaginary stock value.
Also in the video they show a phone produced by - think - Caviar company - and it was in a video I didn't embed, but I posted a link. And all this last video is showing are pure speculations - appearance, solar charging, even a fake Neuralink app that shows a phone connected to your brain...
I have no idea where from they picked up all the data about the phone, that it will have the latest tech, a speedy connection with 5G technology... just imagine the disappointed resulting with all these misinformation. These videos are made in purpose.Also their icon for Neuralink is taken from another company, but it comes to no surprise because Meta logo is also a copycat and to my memory of a company called the Brainlink. Also, a guy says that Starlink might be used to connect stream of the information between Earth and Mars. So far it is not all that strong in bandwidth constellation of satellites in low orbit. So... I think till that point where we could have Mars-Earth streaming the whole idea needs a lot of milk and cookies, and all these reference are so full of shit.
In fact I stopped watching after a few scrolls, because there is nothing about the real product.
Ok, this is an another one of the videos apparently announcing that a phone is produced, and it looks like we can buy it. So lets see that one.
Again, they say really clear - "Tesla has produced a mobile phone...". Where? Because if you claim it is in a shop, or you can pre-order... I guess these people don't know what a false claim means and Tesla or Starlink or SpaceX, whatever, could make a small fortune just by suing these outright liars.
Videos shows the same images, model everything like the previous one. It is just a regurgitated content that is utterly fake. YouTube should BAN this. Also, in video it is apparent that a phone is DESIGN IDEA by a concept designer who also refurbished Apple phones and so on...
The whole video is made AS the phone exists, while it is just an idea ... drafted in present simple. It exists, it does this, it does that... where can I buy it, man!!??
And here is a real piece of the information, that sheds some light to this problematic buying situation... the whole thing is a fantasy. Nobody in charge officially announced anything about any phone. It is a fanfiction or a very smooth work of industrial sabotage.
Because the people will not be so hot about it, if Model Pi phone turns out to be anything less.
