Remember that to have a better chance to receive an upvote from @threespeak your videos should have a good number of views and comments in them.
I think, you should see the views and not count on comments - that will help newcomers to share the videos outside - comments would only be possible if only those outside friends join, so I think, it should not be one of the factors for the upvote. Rather, if you upvote, then those people may get interested to join. Just a personal thought.

You can easily get comments in your videos if you engage in Hive. Make 10 (quality) comments a day for a month, and I am sure you will get at least ten good comments in your videos.
And if the videos are very good and users are very active, they will be eligible for manual curation.

I am not talking about users on hive - try to curate new people's video - they may not have lot of comments, but if they publish quality video, still curate them. Not talking for myself.
3Speak users are also Hive users.
And yes, we are also curating new users, but they should verify their content because there have been a lot of impostors.
