Do I get the returns from splinterlands?

When I started playing splinterlands, I used to get great cards and even one or two gold foil legendaries which I swapped for buying more cards and leveling up.

I am not complaining but am I getting worthwhile returns for the time and money that I have invested?

I agree that along with potions, we get dec too as part of loot chests but what about season rewards? I also agree that the rewards if given out without any restriction may not be too good for the game itself but when we consider the time and money invested in this game, it is time for me to think about whether I get much in return except frustration mostly.

As for investments, I think I made much more from trading than playing. Also, it is not as time-consuming as the game itself. I do like to play splinterlands and that is why I even rent cards so as to get to the higher leagues but the end days of the season and bots instead of actual players often tire me out.

That is why it has made me rethink investing more in this game and although the newer cards are interesting enough and having maxed my Owster just yesterday, I am still unsure. Maybe, I will just play the quests and not worry too much about which league I am in because the rewards are more or less the same anyway.

It is okay to have bots in because they make sure there are opponents but one too many matches against a bot are kind of discouraging.

I do hope new players are welcomed and they are given a chance to play and win tournaments instead of the usual players winning every single game. The developers have done their best to tweak the rules, discourage players by raising the fees, and so on but hey, winning is an addiction for some, ain't it?

Anyways, thanks to the BD boys for having helped me invest in Cub and walking me through staking in the Cub Busd and hope it gives much more returns than any other coins combined.
