In life, I'm certain everyone has one thing or the other that they look back to and incredibly, these things builds a special and sweet kind of pride in them. This things gets to add more values to you as long as you get devoted to them and you stick to learning and having the knowledge to the brim.
Show making in the process
One decision I took years back and I'm happy I did was learning a skill. Five years ago I was given admission in one of the federal universities in Nigeria after roughly four years of waiting for the so called admission at home. I started doing all sorts of legal Jobs just to make ends meet while I kept writing jamb every year because I'm not from a financially buoyant family. My dad wasn't really a lover of skill but a lover of education and he always made sure he caters for our educational needs.
I eventually got admitted for course I never really liked but I had to go study and I appreciate the fact that I doing it, because I don't want to spend an extra year at home. During my 100 1st semester, I lost my dad to the cold hands of death. That was when it dawned on me that I had to get something doing while in school if I really have to continue my education.
My work
I developed a special spot for shoemaking so decided to go learn about it. I started learning during my holiday periods and Asuu strikes even made it easier for me to finish learning on time.
Now, I'm a certified shoemaker as I now cater for my needs and that of my family with the money I make from making footwear's. I make footwear's such as unisex shoes, sandals, belts and Pam slippers for my family, friends and customers. It was one decision that was quite difficult for me to take prior to the fact that my father never sees it as something important, which made me the first in my family to have a handwork/skill.
My work
In the process of making shoes, I was able to get a machine for filing leathers and this has really made my work more easier and faster.. I had to make some savings to get this after I have been getting some pay from my work.. I am proud to be doing this as a lady....

It's something I'm always proud of, anytime, any day because as a female, I'm practicing a skill that people see as a men's work in my part of the country and the fact that I'm able to do it effortlessly has added to my shoulder pads 😂. And I'm proud I made my decision against all odds. This gave me an impression that what a man can do, a woman can do better, determination matters.

En la vida, estoy seguro de que todos tienen una cosa u otra a la que recuerdan e increíblemente, estas cosas generan un orgullo especial y dulce en ellos. Estas cosas pueden agregarle más valores siempre que se dedique a ellas y se adhiera a aprender y tener el conocimiento al máximo.

Una decisión que tomé hace años y estoy feliz de haberla hecho fue aprender una habilidad. Hace cinco años me admitieron en una de las universidades federales de Nigeria después de aproximadamente cuatro años de esperar la llamada admisión en casa. Comencé a hacer todo tipo de trabajos legales solo para llegar a fin de mes mientras seguía escribiendo jamba todos los años porque no soy de una familia económicamente boyante. Mi papá no era realmente un amante de la habilidad sino un amante de la educación y siempre se aseguraba de satisfacer nuestras necesidades educativas.
Eventualmente me admitieron en un curso que nunca me gustó mucho, pero tenía que ir a estudiar y agradezco el hecho de haberlo hecho, porque no quiero pasar un año más en casa. Durante mi primer semestre de 100, perdí a mi padre en las frías manos de la muerte. Fue entonces cuando me di cuenta de que tenía que hacer algo mientras estaba en la escuela si realmente tenía que continuar con mi educación.
Mi trabajo
Desarrollé un lugar especial para la fabricación de calzado, así que decidí ir a aprender sobre él. Empecé a aprender durante mis períodos de vacaciones y las huelgas de Asuu incluso me facilitaron terminar de aprender a tiempo.
Ahora, soy un zapatero certificado ya que ahora satisfago mis necesidades y las de mi familia con el dinero que gano haciendo calzado. Hago calzado como zapatos unisex, sandalias, cinturones y pantuflas Pam para mi familia, amigos y clientes. Fue una decisión que me resultó bastante difícil de tomar antes del hecho de que mi padre nunca lo vio como algo importante, lo que me convirtió en el primero en mi familia en tener una habilidad/trabajo manual.
Mi trabajo
En el proceso de fabricación de zapatos, pude conseguir una máquina para limar pieles y esto realmente ha hecho que mi trabajo sea más fácil y rápido. Tuve que hacer algunos ahorros para conseguir esto después de recibir algo de pago de mi trabajo. Estoy orgullosa de estar haciendo esto como una dama....

Es algo de lo que siempre estoy orgullosa, en cualquier momento, cualquier día porque como mujer, estoy practicando una habilidad que la gente ve como un trabajo de hombres en mi parte del país y el hecho de que puedo hacerlo sin esfuerzo tiene agregado a mis hombreras 😂. Y estoy orgulloso de haber tomado mi decisión contra viento y marea. Esto me dio la impresión de que lo que un hombre puede hacer, una mujer lo puede hacer mejor, la determinación importa.
