Trip To The High Mountains, Krvavec
Since the kids are on holiday, here we call it potato holiday, we decided to change the environment for a few days and go somewhere far away from all the worries in the valley.
We rented a chalet Alpinka at an altitude of 1500 m, still quite high, in the Kamnik Alps, below Krvavec, close to the ski resort, and stayed there.
It is a well-equipped chalet (from hot water, electricity to high-speed internet) with two apartments, each sleeping 6 people. Downstairs living room and kitchen, upstairs 3 bedrooms.

Beautiful views on all sides. Sunny and cloudless above, fog in the valleys, only the peaks visible, a great starting point for walking and mountaineering.
We walked eight kilometers, on mountain paths, to start with, then we came back.

In the evening, when the sun goes down, it cools down quickly. Outside, in the barbecue, I built a fire and we roasted chestnuts.

On the second day, we went to the top of Krvavec (1853 m), where there is also a popular ski resort Krvavec Ski Resort but it's been closed because is not the season yet.

The view is fantastic, with Triglav (2864 m), Slovenia's highest mountain, in the background.

Slowly we are progressing towards the top of Krvavec.

Below the peak is the Krvavec transmitter.
During the aggression on the Republic of Slovenia, on 2 July 1991, planes of the former Yugoslav army fired two missiles and damaged the transmitter, but it was repaired the same day.

Another view of the transmitter from the top of Krvavec.

We are at the top of Krvavec, looking the other way, to the south.

The only way to get here in the winter snow is by chairlift. Here's the end of the chairlift, from where you ski down into the valley.
We might even get there when the winter season comes, who knows?

This pole is the top, 1853 m, and there are even mountain bikers in the background, getting ready to leave.
📷 😎 📷
Let's go down slowly. It's sunny, but it's blowing cold.

And finally, one of the few flowers I have photographed.
Hiking to Krvavec was quite pleasant, mainly because of the beautiful view and the sunny weather. I am sure we will do it again in the future.
Maybe even in winter.

You seem to have spent a very nice holiday and the weather seemd to be quite fine. Nice photos! It looks so much like Switzerland :-)
Thank you. Yes, the weather was fantastic and the location too. I can agree, that is similar to Switzerland, Mountains in Slovenia are part of the Alps, the southeast one, but anyway 😎

Thank you very much. The house is a typical wooden chalet from the Alps, it has a roof like this to make it easier for snow to fall off. Thanks for stopping by. 😎 👏
Ok sir got it thanks for the explanation. I get it better now 😬.
Thanks sir.
Have a great day and week 😀🙏
