I am alive challenge day#5: May 24,2022.

Lovely evening y'all. Guess what? I'm alive! Yes. Today has been fairly good. The weather has been cold since morning as it drizzled through out the night. Cold nights and mornings make it quite difficult for me to wake up early. You know, it feels so good to snuggle under the covers when it's cold.

I dragged myself out of bed and got ready for work. I got to work a little late but it didn't interfere with my lessons. Started with an English class. My learners have been without a teacher for a long while so it's difficult interact with them. I lost my cool several times as they were struggling with basic things to know. If anyone can suggest ways to handle learners in an encouraging way, I'd be glad.

Because of their level and "problem", we hadly are able to learn more than 3 subjects a day. Little by little, we'll surely get there.

My day ended with me preparing supper after work and relaxing while rewatching movies. Planned to read another book as I had finished reading the one I started over the weekend. But ended up watching movies rather. Maybe tomorrow, will read.

I am very glad that you are alive and well, I admire you for your profession as a teacher, I never think I can get along with several children gathered in a room, but you have to have patience and affection, I congratulate you, and I am also glad that you ended your day relaxed and watching some movies.

I am glad you are alive and healthy.
Yeah, cold nights are a good time to have a sweet sleep.
With the difficulties you are having interacting with your pupils, I suggest you crave out some fun activities with learning.
For example songs to match what you're teaching and play objects like gifting or tie a balloon to a word, when well pronounced the person will burst it.
Kids like fun things, my suggestion though.

I have done teaching job just for a while and i must tell you that patience and creativity is needed to achieve your goals. Just teach and create fun activities with them, they should be able to flow and more importantly , have little patience , they will pick up with time.

It is good to see you !ALIVE and well. Young children can be so full of energy at times and difficult to settle down for learning. It makes it that much harder when they have not had a teacher for a little while. You will do good, just take a lot of deep breaths. Take care.

It's good to see you alive and in good health, I admire your smile and those of the kids.
I guess it's normal since they've been short for teachers for sometime, I do encounter that with my public too, and sometimes I had no choice but to go down to their level so they can understand, and if not I sometimes have to just explain some term with our local language for a perfect transmission of knowledge.

It is normal but challenging for them and me. Because of their I do use a lot of the local language in teaching.

glad to see you alive with those children you can use playaway method with them and if you use English and they dont assimilate use there indigenous language for them it will really help.

I read about children and I must confess that I wish you the best, but I don't know much advice. Hopefully someone in the network can give you some good advice to get ahead.
