Today, In this post, we’ll look at the fifth key.

Key #5: Track and Test Everything

A truly successful business isn’t built on gut feelings and guesswork.

Do you want to gain an optimal return on investment with everything you do? Then start testing the numerous components of your business. This includes:

1. Your ideas. For example, before you create a large paid product, consider starting with a free offer on the same topic. If the freebie generates positive interest, then it’s safer to invest your time and money in developing the larger paid product. Use surveys of your target audience to discover the top issues and problems.

2. Your ad campaigns. Many platforms (e.g., Facebook and Google AdWords) include built-in statistics so that you can determine which ads and keywords are delivering the best results. There are tracking tools for measuring performance of your ads on whatever platform you use.

3. Your emails. Most autoresponder services include built-in statistics, which makes it easy for you to track and test your emails. Pay particular attention to subject lines, the offer, and your calls to action. You’ll also want to test what days and times of the day work best for sending email to your target audience.

4. Your sales letters. Test the headline, overall offer (including price) and call to action. These factors tend to have the greatest impact so focus on testing these items first. Tip: test only of these elements at a time. If you try to evaluate different headlines and price points in the same test, you’ll not know which element created any change in performance.

Summary

Creating products services and services that meet needs and provide value, driving traffic to your target audience, and adding leads and customers are pivotal pieces of a profitable business. But they are not the only things that will affect your success.

If you want to build a truly sustainable business, in this three-part series, we’ve presented five keys that are essential for your online business success:
• Establish a correct mindset,
• Make customer service a priority,
• Create your distinct brand,
• Build your business every day, and
• Track and test everything.

And, always remember...

You’re in business to serve your audience well.

Ultimately, you want to generate benefits for your audience and profits for your business.

This can happen as you dedicate yourself in every area of your business to helping others...

  1. Solve their problems,

  2. Reach their goals and

  3. Enjoy their interests.

As you do these things, you’ll be able to take your business to the next level. Then, you can provide even more help and earn even more income.

Disclosure
Some of my blog posts contain links to products. These are products I use personally or come highly recommended from sources I trust. I would recommend them to my own family. At no extra cost to you, the product creator gives my nonprofit organization a small commission if you click one of these links on my blog and purchase something. This is a win-win-win situation where I get to recommend great products to my readers who benefit tremendously from these products when they buy. My organization receives a small compensation to support our mission and the business gains a new customer. And you pay the same exact price you would pay if you had found the product yourself!
