Can't Wait for the next Thursday

It's Thursday again and it's one of my favorite days because I get to go out early and it's my day off the next day. Though I'm always sleep-deprived during these days. I'm always grateful for Thursdays. I got ready for work and had to stand during the commute. When I went to the metro station and I saw my instructor from college, we were able to catch up and we were talking about the accomplishments of my batchmates and our future plans.

Before going to my room, got to take a photo of a cat, it's making me miss my cat back home in the Philippines. My first patient was a guy who had shoulder pain before and he said that he felt a lot better after the treatment last time. I'm glad that I was able to help him. My next patient was somebody with back pain and he couldn't walk because of it, I felt so bad for him because he neglected his leg which made his muscles atrophy. I also did my best trying to treat it, but the rest will be up to him because we only see each other once a week. My next patient had the same First name as the prior patient and I found that funny. I really like talking to this guy because we belong to the same age group and we were having deep conversations about life.

When I treated the next patient, that was when I was feeling my sleep deprivation, I was fighting my sleep during that time, and what made it worse, he was just quiet the whole time. Thankfully with my next patient, we had a nice convo, though I asked him if he was happy with his work and he said that no one in this world is happy with their work. But I totally disagreed with him but I guess sometimes people just choose to be like that, which is kinda sad.

I then ate lunch. Our clinic provided us with chicken and shawarma. The taste was okay, but couldn't say on about the free food.

My next patient was my long-term patient, little by little his improving because he reinjured himself again. He was telling me about his life story, living in debt before and now being money conscious. It's really interesting to learn the different kinds of stories of other people living here, it makes me double think of the decisions that I make here.

After his treatment, I decided to take a bus and go to the mall. When I went to the mall, I went to the grocery and I was amused with all the Christmas Decor. My colleague who has been staying here for a long time was telling me that you couldn't feel Christmas before, but at least right now they are slowly opening up.

I then went home using the bus but the traffic was really bad and I was standing the whole time, which triggered my back pain. I got home, prepared my lunch for the upcoming days, and also ate dinner. I felt really full after dinner. I had to rest and I decided to go to the gym. While I was walking to the gym I felt really bloated and I wanted to vomit so I was just walking slowly and taking my time. Before going inside the gym, I saw this other cat, I felt bad for it because it lost one of its eyes. I hit the gym and stayed there until midnight, got home, took a bath, and finished this.

There's one thing that I learned today and it's that the point of life is to live. I learned it from one of the podcasts that I was listening to. And this struck me hard.
