Hive Keycahin

Do you ever wonder why hive doesn't have a secure wallet like say metamask or trust wallet? Do you know a wallet on mobile that lets you access your favorite hive dapps? Well, I am telling you there is and we are all not using it like we should, Or promoting it for that matter.

I am talking about hive keychain for android and IOS, This is a game-changer for the hive ecosystem and I am seeing nothing about it. We have a secure mobile wallet app and I am going to break it down a bit and show you that we can access our hive wallets, Dapps, Front-ends, and Everything hive in this one Wallet.

Download Dapp

The first thing will be going over to your app store be that is apple or google, you can even find them on the keychain webpage

Alright so we got keychain downloaded, we can now head the app on our phone, This is where you will be prompted to add the password for keychain, I really recommend adding a pin and using your fingerprint if you can. I like this second set of security on a mobile phone.

Now that is all set up with a pin selected, You will now be prompted to add your hive keys, Now you can do this a few different steps by adding the keys manually ( Very time consuming given your key is likely, not able to paste) So what I really recommend if you use keychain on a PC would be going to it and clicking the hamburger menu than the manage account, Down below you will find a spot that says show QR code, Go and scan this with your mobile device.

You will now have the keys added to your mobile phone, This was secure and you are now able to start using keychain smart wallet.

Connecting to Dapps

This is the part where all the interesting things happen like connecting to Dapps and front-ends. The first thing is to again click on the hamburger, More looks like 3 dots on mobile.

From that we will see the section called Browser, This is the secure WEB3 Browser that will now allow you to connect to the hive blockchain. You can find most of the frontends work like a charm and connect to keychain as if you are on a desktop.

I have not tried many of the others but I am under the impression that all outpost and tribe front ends will work without a problem, leofinance seem to be the hivesigner support that stops it from working.
