Hello Hive Open Mic 🎤 Community, Greetings to y'all…I trust we are all doing good, and as always I'm super excited to share my entry for week #124. In line with this week's theme "Moonshine" chosen by recent spotlight artist @anna-newkey, I'd be performing a song by Canadian singer-songwriter "Carly Rae Jepsen" called "Call Me Maybe".

Musically, "Call Me Maybe" is a teen pop, dance-pop and bubblegum pop track that alludes to the inconvenience that love at first sight brings to a girl who hopes for a call back from a new crush. So there it is: the message isn’t so much flirtatious, but a sign of a lack of confidence; a hesitance as defense mechanism.
I’m not overly confident in love. I’d probably be more coy about it, I guess, just like, ‘call me, maybe? If you want to?'” Jepsen says.
