Tales of the Urban Explorer: The Llama House

avatar
(Edited)

Recently, ‘The Llama House’ has joined the TourBus. I’m quite annoyed that some paranormal idiots published the full address publically, resulting in a long line of coaches arriving the next day.

Shortly after a prominent GoonTuber visited did the same and failed to protect the address. @andiotexplores and I visited this Time Capsule in September 2021 and I'm quite sure this leak is not due to either of us.

2_IMG_0266_censored_2.jpg

Another report I saw was telling tales of murder that involved some lesbian sisters, and bestial sex in the 1970s. Probably all poppycock and bullshit intended to attract likes that would better suited to the Jerry Springer show.

Fucking likes..., they don't give you HIVE, do they?

Now my gripes are over let’s move to the content. Being off the radar (once), I was unsure of what to name this.

34_IMG_0263_34.jpg

The house does have its own name, but I have pixelated it out of a couple of images. Silly names are better, and @anidiotexplores provisionally named it ‘The Llama House’ as a real Llama resides inside.

For sneakiness reasons, we parked a good 200 yards from the property and on the other side of the neighbour ensuring a silent approach.

I was dismayed to see the bushes had been cut back, which means the house could be wiped of its treasures. This has been happening to me frequently of late. Fuck around too long, and you lose.

35_IMG_0264_35.jpg

Regardless, we snuck around the side and inspected the back noting the neighbour in his massive house was not gardening, getting pissed in the garden, or practicing nudism.

@anidiotexplores quickly found a weak spot and we inched our way through a small gap and once again I congratulated myself for not eating too many pies the night before.

4_IMG_0232_4.jpg

Once inside we had to get past some tools of destruction and large pieces of furniture deliberately placed to impede our progress.

5_IMG_0233_5.jpg

Climbing over this stuff would make a lot of noise so I had to breathe in and again squeeze past it all.

3_IMG_0231_3.jpg

The newly squashed @slobberchops was feeling good. The insides of 'The Llama House' appeared to have not been ransacked, stripped, or thrown outside.

6_IMG_0234_6.jpg

Still, I would not sit on the shitter; that is going a little far.

7_IMG_0235_7.jpg

8_IMG_0236_8.jpg

Antique furniture and half-beds were to be spotted. If you are very short, then a good night’s sleep could be had if you can tolerate the spores.

9_IMG_0237_9.jpg

10_IMG_0238_10.jpg

The front door hosted a lot of unopened mail, most junk crap but I had to have a look and see who lived here.

1_IMG_0248_censored_1.jpg

The Foster brothers need to pay their council tax and it's getting a little overdue at 4.5k in arrears. Officials will be banging on the front door in due time.

11_IMG_0239_11.jpg

The sitting room was a little sparse, with the furniture colour shocking my eyes. Why on earth would you buy a Mustard couch?

12_IMG_0240_12.jpg

The house was structurally quite sound, is a bungalow but there are exceptions to my claim.

13_IMG_0241_13.jpg

More lovely antique furniture, no doubt stolen by now as the coaches arrive, some with delivery vans.

14_IMG_0242_14.jpg

… and here is the Llama who sits patiently and waits for the next lot of explorers to visit casting its suspicious eye on all.

15_IMG_0243_15.jpg

The upright piano was intriguing. Why were the keys missing? It looked in good shape otherwise, though a little moldy around the edges.

16_IMG_0244_16.jpg

23_IMG_0251_23.jpg

Rushworth & Dreaper of Liverpool was a long-surviving maker of musical instruments until their demise in 2002 and even had an association with Sir Paul McCartney.

17_IMG_0245_17.jpg

I was wondering what this chunk of machinery was, surely not something dragged from the innards of the old piano?

18_IMG_0246_18.jpg

Very comfortable if you like mustard and prefer a Spartan lifestyle.

19_IMG_0247_19.jpg

That door has not been opened for some time.

21_IMG_0249_21.jpg

The second bedroom had little inside, besides an uncomfortable wonky bed. One would wake with a terrible backache sleeping there.

22_IMG_0250_22.jpg

I am not a fan of toilet images like @livinguktaiwan. The visual horrors I witness are truly unspeakable.

24_IMG_0252_24.jpg

The nineties I would say looking at that style, though it took me until 2005 to ditch a similar-looking set. I didn't think to plug it in and watch some Teletubbies while finishing the explore.

25_IMG_0254_25.jpg

26_IMG_0255_26.jpg

I dread to think what this dresser looks like now.

27_IMG_0256_27.jpg

.. as well as the finest bone china.

28_IMG_0257_28.jpg

The Foster brothers liked their tea, and not the regular PG Tips variety.

29_IMG_0258_29.jpg

You could catch something just by switching the tap on.

30_IMG_0259_30.jpg

It looks ready to collapse looking at that foot.

31_IMG_0260_31.jpg

The kitchen serving hatch, and no moaning about the food quality or the axe will be swinging. I like the style of this chef.

32_IMG_0261_32.jpg

I am quite sure this still works, why wouldn’t it?

Leaving ‘The Llama House’, @andiotexplores secured the access point as well as possible. He has a commendable habit of doing that.

36_IMG_0265_36.jpg

If Shorrocks are going to arrive then they had better be quick. We never saw a sniff of them.

A bit of a 70s time warp there! That golden draylon sofa and green carpet with the beige 50s tiling. Classy !

I still don't get why people leave these places to get in such a state. House are fucking expensive, especially detached bungalows, no matter what state they're in.

I show you the classiest places. Bungalows are a very appreciating asset as they are no longer made. OOP I should say! Strange as a we a developed nation with a top-heavy old population all vying for these houses.

Making up for the lack of Bungalows by building more care homes! ....

This is truly an old abandoned house alot running through my mind right now, Why was the house abandoned? If the owner are died didn't they have children to look after the house once in a while or rent it out, if they don't have children why did they not will it out to someelse.

It's tough to find this kind of information on residentials, unless it's dramatic and in the newspapers or news.

So much mustard, it hurts the eyes!!

The llama looked at if it were inclined to give more of a cheery eye 🤣🤣

I never even noticed the Llama until my comrade pointed it out when we had left. He sees things I don't!

Hehe, it is a sign of how untouched the place was that it was still there methinks. Unless whoever lifts it is cursed and it always reappears bkac in the same spot!

Enjoy eating food dripping with mustard, perhaps part of the lounge suite answer, yuck!

Delightful half bed for troll or dwarf to enjoy rollicking around on, thought these were lesbians sisters no no, brothers with debt...., as usual did run the gauntlet.

Well done, Lama found and survived, not so sure about the tight spots you get into!

I used to be a serial Jerry viewer, when I lived in the USA. It was always outrageous, and those memories are still up there somewhere!

The place looks like it has been abandoned for a really long time.

If it is worked on, it would make a beautiful home though.

The upright piano was intriguing. Why were the keys missing?

If the piano’s old enough, the keys might have been ivory.

It's a thought. Maybe something 100 years old or so?

Wow, this seems really like a fun adventure for you lol one that I wouldn't mind having myself. Reminds me of those haunted houses that we see in horror movies(only this one comes with intrigue instead of horror).

Nice furniture BTW or should I say antiques lol. They all got these unique appearances

Hello the atmosphere is giving. What often surprises me in these abandoned houses is that many have stayed in the house and not been looted. Thank you for this spine-chilling report.

They do get looted, a lot. That's why the community is very secretive.

In any case I really liked your post through your photos you manage to project us into an atmosphere worthy of a horror film I will try to follow all your reports

This one looks like a keeper. Compared to the "jewels" we see here. Llama looks legit and the ship too. Maybe some rare collectible?

Maybe some rare collectible?

I wouldn't know. It never crosses my mind to think of what I see as valuable. It's someone else's property.

Lots of artifacts it seems. I was reading a story the other day talking about how going into inaccessible and forgotten places is a new fad. I have a feeling you are going to start to see more competition on stuff like this. Likely from people that don't share the same code of ethics as you.

In the USA? Not a great idea unless you want a shotgun up your arse.

I have a suggestion but it may sound strange, this house is freaky with tidy facilities and other clutter and dirty things. But it is very large. I don't know if its owner or heirs visit it from each year or no. But why isn't it being used to benefit the homeless on streets? It's a humanitarian act, but it's hard to do it, yes?

The homeless invade abandoned properties often. I see them and hear them. Often they are afraid, occasionally they attack. We as explorers have to be careful.

authorities should intervene to find out the identity of these abandoned places, if the owner is dead or there are no heirs, at least they sell it and money will be directed to refugees and humanitarian aid

A nice fixer upper. The axe looked brand new. The rest like something out of the seventies and eighties.
Can't believe the council tax bailiffs not taken all the stuff, they would have in Scotland for a 4k overdue bill!

I was wondering what this chunk of machinery was, surely not something dragged from the innards of the old piano?

That looks like a conversion kit for a player piano.

I bet the Llama ripped it out. Any Llama worth it's oats knows how to tickle the ivories without assistance. Perhaps that's why the keys were removed. They were interfering with the brilliant hoof-work.

Damn!! This was tough to feed my eyes with, I literally felt I was right there.
And besides these images reminds me how so many people in the world today just allow their talents that could be useful to humanity get wasted due to several reasons like culture, pressure, fear and lots more.

If you never take the bold step to harness your talents, potentials and put them to use, they could get rusty as these stuffs in the pics above. Thanks for sharing these images @slobberchops, I really felt inspired and motivated in a strange way seeing those images. Cheers

I enjoy your posts about abandoned buildings, it is a shame that someone posted the address. I am curious about the photo under the one with the webbed sink, what is the thing under the shelving unit, it looks like nails with string run in some sort of design. They should have had a couple of bright red chairs to go with the mustard yellow couch and white throw pillows, condiments would be complete.

I find plenty of condiments in these places, but death may come quickly if I ever tried snaffling on them. They are best photographed and left for the next person to sample.

How about the cobwebs and mold spores? It wouldn't be the same if you left them out. We are going to have to talk... about bogs.., I will get @grindle involved too 😀

Oh yeah, another magnificent find. Love the name Llama House!

That place looks moldy as shit. Do you ever wear a mask going through these please?

I suspect that thing on the sofa is part of the piano. Looks like it could be a 'player piano' that used the rolls of paper with holes. Looks like the hatch for that in the upper part. A lot of the furniture and nicknacks remind me of what was in the old cottage we lived in. We replaced most of that stuff. Dark wood dressers were obviously popular at some point, but people didn't replace things until they broke. The tools suggest someone was working on the place.

Good to see you're keeping active :)

It is in the same state now as last September, I have seen the recent reports. The removal of the external trees suggested pending demolition, they could have ran out of cash?

Good to see you're keeping active :)

Yes.., did a 350 mile UX trip a few days ago, from 8am to sunset. Took it out of me, but worthwhile.

I have to agree with @steevc - I believe it probably was a player piano. I have always wanted one of those! As for the ivory being stolen with the missing keys, it looks old enough for it to have ivory. I think in the States, they were made with ivory until the 1950s.

The entire place was interesting and they had some nice (once upon a time) pieces. I cannot wrap my head around walking away from a house that was in (I suspect) nice condition. Do you think the tax bill was enough to make someone run away from home?

It is amazing that it is not in terrible condition. I want to know what is going on with those midget beds!!

Fishermen have a rule - do not give out fishing spots! Very often, after showing the catch, you can see and hear the questions - where did you catch such a fish? If you name a place, there will be a crowd of fishermen there tomorrow.
