So guys this new year we should keep our hopes high and expect greater thing cause this year the heavens up above the sky shall be our starting point amen!!!šš½
So Friends l want to share with you all a simple outfit I made for myself and Iāll be rocking it to church on Sunday. So friends stay focused and enjoy the session.
Itās looking a bit rough cause I didnāt do a proper ironing maybe when I wash and starch it, Iāll iron it probably or I might just take it to a laundry person to ease me of the stress.
Items used:
- A custard color fabric
- A mixed color fabric for the combination
- Paper gum.
My sewing processes:
Firstly:
I lay the custard color fabric, and I drew out my body measurement and I cut it out, I used the already cut front to cut out the remaining part of the outfit like the back side and two sleeves.
Secondly:
I took out the front, iron out a straight line at the middle as usual to guide me when designing.
Thirdly:
After the iron, i took my paper gum and cut length of 14inches and size of 3inches, I cut the second length of 12inches and size of 2inches and I gummed them both to the custard color fabric.
Fourthly:
After that, I divided the front and I sewed this gummed ones to the front and I formed a flap at the front.
After that I then cut the paper cum length of 8inches, size of 4inches and I gummed it on that same fabric, and I drew a step after step and I also sewed it and after sewing I turn it to the front side and I ironed and sewed it to the down part of the flap I just finished making.
I then used that same fabric to make a inner pocket at the side of the front after that my front was ready.
And I piped the neck and trimmed the shoulder, I added the both sleeves and I joined the body size to my size and I bend the length and my Sunday outfit was ready so now am just waiting for Sunday to come so I can rock my outfit to church š with so much pride š and Iāll have to wash and iron it too to look even more cuter!!!
Iāll be rocking this outfit with a Yoruba native Gobi cap. I havenāt started making the cap yet but Iāll sure keep you all notified when am done.

That raccoon print fabric made me smile! I'm glad you found time to make something for yourself. I am wearing my new skirt to work this afternoon. We need to wear our products to build our brands, right?
