Starting the new week with a double breasted pockets by the sides of a senator top @smilestitches😊

Hi guys I see you all 😊 how are we all doing?
Hope we are all fine cause am not doing bad either, it’s another amazing week thanks to God who had kept me safe.
Friends as usual I’ll be sharing with you all this superb outfit I made for a client, it was actually under strict monitoring 😂 this particular client of mine is always so funny, he has not been giving me his cloth for a while now, according to him he said I do sew lovely cloths and the more it’s looks lovely that’s the more higher I do charge him that his an old man so I should make the outfit ugly and old fashion so it won’t be expensive guys can you imagine that? 😂 I always do tell him that no matter how he wants his cloth to look like I’ll still charge him my normal prize and I won’t just charge him but I’ll make him something lovely and presentable. So I was shocked when he called me to come pick this fabric sew for him, so I went. He then told me his coming to sit with me when am sewing the cloth to make sure I don’t make it look very fine so I won’t charge him much 😂 at first I thought he was just joking and being playful with me but to my greatest surprise, he should up on the day I told him I was going to start making his cloth 😂 and he came and stood there and keep a close Watch on ever thing I do.
At first in the beginning I wasn’t really happy with what he was doing but I later gave up the anger when i realized that no amount of anger or terrible attitude I show will make him leave so I just accepted it and move one. It was even fun when we started our gist 😂 and that actually helped me to sew fast though.
So friends I’ll be sharing with pictures how I got the outfit made.

Items used:

• My Ankara fabric
• My plain white fabric
• Paper gum
• Tissue gum
• Matching thread.

First step:

I lay the fabric as usual on the table, with a pencil i drew on the fabric my client body measurements and I cut it out accordingly, I used the front have already cut out to determine and cut out the back view and the both sleeves.

Next step:

After the cutting, I took the front part, I bend it into two and I cut at the front 0.7inches size, 11inches length. After that I took my paper gum and I cut out 2.5inches size and length of 18inches and the second one I cut was 2inches size and 12inches length for the second one.

Next step:
I gummed them in the fabric and I bend the big one to be 1inches and the small one to be 0.7inches. Then I first sew the small one to the left side of the already cut front and the big one to the right side at the back and I turn them to the front, I arrange it well and sew it to make the front flap inform of a sleet, this kind of flap is outdated but the way I did mine is so modernize and beautiful.

Next step:

After the flap making I use the white material to make an inner side pocket for the front pocket. After that I was halfway done with the outfit, I then joined the back to the front and I trimmed the shoulder and inserted the both sleeves and I joined both sides to the measurement of my client.

Finally:

There was supposed to be a double breasted pocket on the both sides of the cloth, how I made this double breasted pocket, I too the ankara fabric and I cut size of 6inches length of 7.5 inches and I added my tissue gum at the back view to make it strong for sewing and I cut the the white fabric I was using to combine the cloth, I cut it size of 1inches, length of 14inches then I used it to pipe round the pocket just as you’ve seen.

After that I then irons and sewed the pocket to the side of the outfit and I piped the neck too and the outfit was ready. Done and dusted!!!!

Actually this exact pattern of outfit I just finish making was just how my client wanted his outfit to look so I made it to his exact taste, just how he wanted it because my brand is not only about sewing and serving people but most important things is that we put smiles on people’s face and how to make one smile with joy and excitement is to make sure he enjoys what’s his paying for so that’s what my brand is all about by Gods grace I was able to sew it to his taste and he was happy.
