What kind of concept can you create with a stripe fabric, well I choose to make mine like this and my client end up loving it so very much @smilestitches we just offer the best concept that will put a smile across your face!!
Hello hivans,
It’s actually a pleasure to be with you guys once again good morning to you all, hope we all slept well and my fellow needleworkers on this community, hope you guys are doing well too. Am so delighted and happy to write to you guys again, hope we are all doing perfectly fine cause am not doing bad either and my work had been amazing each day, God had just be God all by himself and his been so merciful and kind towards me and my loved ones so I say may his name be praised amen!
So friends There’s this beautiful outfit I made that I would love to share with you all my love ones so friends sit tight this session will be so fun and interesting, just follow me closely let’s do this together.
Items used:
- A white fabric striped with black
- Paper gum
- Tissue gum.
My sewing processes:
Step 1:
I lay the fabric as usual, I bend it into two, I drew the measurement of my client on it and I cut the front out, after that I used the already cut out front to cut the remaining part of the cloth like the back view and the both sleeves. The sleeve was to be a 3quarter.
Step 2:
After all the cutting was done with, I singled out the front, I ironed out a straight line at the middle of the front to indicate the center of the cloth so whatever I’ll be doing won’t look inappropriate and neat but instead it will look like it was made by someone who doesn’t even know how the sewing profession works or how it’s done. But am not that kind of a person, I know very well what’s right to do. So guys after I had finished ironing it.
Step 3:
I then took the remaining fabric and I cut it in a slanting form, i added the tissue gum at the back view.
I turn the back of the other one and I place it accordingly and I sew it to make the lines look like this 👇🏼
Step 4:
After the sewing I then ironed and bend both sides to be 6inches and I placed it in the front and sew it there and I left 4inch length at the down part of the left side for the pocket.
After I had sewed it there I then decided the front and I took the paper gum and I cut the first one length of 14inches and size of 4inches for the big one, I cut again length 11inches and size of 3inches for the small one and I gummed them on the fabric at deferent places. I cut it out and I first lay the small one on the left side of the front at the back view to sew and turn to the right side of the main front view. I lay the big one at the right side of the front at the back view to sew and turn it to the left side of the main front view, after this I sewed them one after the other, I first start with the small one and after that I then sew the big one to form an inner flap at the front and then after that my front was half ready.
Finally on the front, I cut the paper gum again length of 5inches and size of 7inches, same measurement of the front, I lay it on the vertical side of the fabric,
I ironed and bend it in a v shape and I sewed it to the down part of the front flap.
Step 5:
I joined both shoulders, trimmed and attached the both sleeves and I joined the body side to my client measurement and last thing I did was to pipe the neck and bend the length and the outfit was ready!!!!
