Ilara mokin Yam festival to pob

1 Yam festival
I'm a born of Ondo state,town Ilara mokin...We have this festival called Yam festival (ijesu) this festival comes about every September of every year which will take place in everybody house this year own happened on the 2 which was early than before.

This yam festival usually happens when all students and pupils of Ilara mokin are on holiday, but it doesn't happen so, this year. Still we heard the best fun that everyone was happy. Though the private school gave there student that day off, but public school refuse to with that the students celebrate the festival like never before.
This yam festival is a one kind festival that I'm fund of, it makes everyone happy including our King and his Chiefs who will dance with the people from his palace down to where we will cultivate the king's yam and the king will pray for the better living of the people. After will dance back to his palace again and he will also pray.

Before the day of the festival every youths will go to there Father's farm to get ready cane which will serve as the entertainment that day and will also get ready dry palm leafs which will be used from night till dawn. This cane they will use it on each other, it sounds wicked but it fun to them and it entertainment for others who are watching . The female's will sing through the day since they can't stand the chance to be beaten by canes. Different type of music will be composed that day idea from every where the drums by drummers will actually gave you no choice than to dance to worries out.

The palm leafs will be light on fire by the guys both young and elder on usual will you ladies with it, but there are some who do so. 2
