Does doing ‘novena’ for the dead help send their souls to the kingdom of God?

No matter what position the person who died held in church,if he or she didn't serve GOD well,he or she can't goto heaven wether novena is done or not.

The humans alive have nothing to the with the fate of the dead, absolutely nothing.
