Death wasn't part of GOD'S original plan,but as Adam and Eve disobeyed GOD, their punishment became death.
Genesis 2:17 (KJV) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Also the wages of sin is death.
Romans 6:23 (KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Anyone who commits sin will face death as part of his punishment.1 Corinthians 15:56 (KJV) The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
