1000 BEE's to unlock tribaldex's treasure's - Why?

Hello SPIer's, I hope you are doing well. Today im going to have a moan about it costing 1000 BEE tokens to create a new diesel pool on tribaldex. Nice name, I'd drop the confusing diesel part and just go with pools as it sounds like what it is. Anyways back to the 1000 BEE cost to create a "fossil fuel" Pool. BEE tokens are currently selling for over 1 HIVE each so getting 1000 BEE for 1000 HIVE would be hard at the minute but we'll call it 1 BEE to 1 HIVE as that's the standard norm. At the time of writing that is $410. $410 to add a simple pool to a sidechain with only a few thousand active users or no real $ volume. I understand it's privately owned, it's priced in HIVE/BEE which is not stable but makes sense sorta and they are free to set whatever fees they desire but surely making it cheaper would drive volume and HIVE deposit/withdraw fee income. It's prob not as easy as that but it might be.

Why is it 1000 BEE to do everything? The cost to enable staking, that's 1000 BEE. Wanna create mining rewards, it'll be 1000 BEE. Set up a tribe? 1000 BEE. You can set up a fund token if you have 1000 BEE and you might not be aware of this but you can also set up hive-engine SMT reward Pools for about 1000 BEE. There is actually a lot of cool shit on tribaldex but WTF is it with this 1000 BEE thing? Maybe HIVE was priced lower when they came up with pricing are maybe they want to make it a little bit more expensive to ensure no shit projects are created. To set up a tribe, fund token or SMT reward token, 1000 BEE is a good price but to enable staking or create a liquidity pool, 1000 is too much in my option and the reason why SPinvest will wait until it's either cheaper because of HIVE going down are someone else releases another sidechain.

I hear people saying liquidity is a problem on HIVE, I say this myself but HIVE itself has good liquidity on major exchanges. When we say this we basically mean hive-engine has no liquidity. This is not the fault of hive-engine, they provide a service. The exchange is not fancy and very simple but it has been doing the job for over 2 years now and has really pushed HIVE to new levels. No hive-engine means no tribes, no LEO, no SPI, nowhere for games to host tokens, none of that. Swapping could be the way forward but at 1000 BEE a pop plus having to provide liquidity makes them no good for SPinvest at this time, maybe if HIVE goes super low during the next bear market we can splash some of our BTC profits to providing some sort of better liquidity. If priced in dollars, I wonder what price they would have set it to. I have no idea if this sounds cheap are expensive but I think $100 is a good number, even $150 would be ok. That would be high enough to put off shit projects and I'd guess alot more proper tokens would create pools.

Daydreaming of what we can't have...(yet)

I would love to add some pools for SPinvest's tokens and have each be swappable with HIVE, LEO, and SPI. We have 4 tokens excluding EDSM so that would be 3 times 3 plus 1 times 2 equals 11 pools. It's dead money paying the fee, that's ok as there are some advantages but it's currently too much for us to pay and if HIVE makes new all-time highs, it'll cost over $1000, lol. SPinvest will wait for the bear market, get it for under 15 cent HIVE, and then do the lot of 1 go.

image.png

So those advantages I mentioned above. So if we were to create a bunch of these Petrol Pools, we'd need to provide some liquidity. We hold alot of HIVE and we pull in 800-1000 LEO per week so no worries there. We'd need to buy back a bunch of SPI's and then those SPI's would be pretty much out of circulation. This would also give investors in our 4 tokens, SPI, EDS, LBI and CL an easier and instant way to buy in and cash out into either HIVE or LEO or SPI for EDS, LBI and CL tokens. SPI would be interchangeable with 5 tokens in total and the 3 others with 3 tokens. Would be pretty cool.

image.png

Would be a nice set-up and I think we could even offer an LP reward pool similar to what LEO have for wLEO/ETH providers. We swap the dividend back to HIVE/something else and use our SPI stash to fund the reward pool each week/month while topping it up from the exchange. Yep, sure would be nice and the tribaldex platform is dead easy to use, could be all set up in under an hour I guess but the cost. I know I keep moaning. I'd happily pay $1000 for what I want for us. I think being able to offer liquidity for investors would be cool. Rewarding providers with SPI adds another use case other than just HODLing them. It would be fun but we are not rich enough yet to have that much money to burn. Im is pretty sure it's literary burned, the BEE tokens they receive from this are burned. That might be wrong, im fairly sure I saw that they burn all the BEE collected in fees somewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong as I'd like to know, just to know. haha.

We could even start an investing token alliance with other investment projects to provide liquidity between each other tokens. Might be a bad idea but what if the top 5-10 investment token on HE agreed to create pools and provide liquidity between each other. Most project operators within this space know each other and are on good terms being invested in each other, not in a jerk circle way, more of an I invested into your token so your project is worth investing into and not shit. It's sorta like a respect thing in the unwritten rules of supporting each other instead of ripping off each other's ideas. Not working together but not against either. It's actually really nice to not have any beef with anyone on HIVE with other project operators are users. Anyways, let's say we had 5 cause I can't think of 10 good ones, we went with SPI, BRO, UTOPIS, INDEX and DHEDGE in no order. What if we all agreed to become interchangeable with each other for whatever reason. The result would be each token would have 4 new pairs so SPI would be swappable with BRO, UTOPIS, INDEX and DHEDGE. BRO would be swappable with SPI, UTOPIS, INDEX and DHEDGE and so on. The cost is half because the other project, says its BRO is paying the other half. Let me break it down a little to show you. Im always thinking if ways to make things cheaper 😐

If SPinvest pays 1000 BEE for the creation of the SPI/BRO Gasoline Pool, then BRO has got free liquidity to SPI.

Now UTOPIS pays 1000 BEE for the creation of the UTOPIS/SPI Vaper Pool, now SPI has got free liquidity to UTOPIS.

Each investment token project would pay for 2 Kerosene Pools costing 2000 BEE and be connected to 4 other tokens that are not bullshit. Half price is ok. It would prob cost an extra 1000 BEE as we'd need a HIVE/SPI Veg Oil Pool to make it proper. SPI would be swappable with 5 tokens for 3000 BEE, still not bad.

image.png

With that said it could backfire if people are consistently dumping 1 token to get another. I'll be honest and say if people started dumping loads of SPI's for UTOPIS or something, i'd be annoyed. I few thousand SPI's a year...ok, but if it were 500-1000 a week, i'd be annoyed. Maybe not a great idea. It could work out really well all the same and drive more volume into "fund/income" tokens on HE and help growth and funding increase. It's all about funding at the end of the day, if SPI had started with $100k (which is still nothing) instead of $13-14k, the total fund would be worth roughly $1.3 million by now. Maybe more because we would have 100% bought more ETH and it would be 10-20xing on us right now. Anyways, we got ours at $330 each and our Bitcoin for under $9k average buy price so the recent dips are like...

image.png

What about that for an idea? Make an alliance of top investment tokens on HE to provide liquidity for investors. Prob one of those idea's that works well on paper and bad in practice. Interesting though all the same.

image.png

You know what I just thought this second? BSC. Would this be much better? To create 11 Coal Pools, we could create BSC wraps and pay a dev to create an SPI > bSPI converter and then build a farming swap clone minus the farming part. SPI, EDS, LBI and CL would become swappable with anything on BSC. It would prob cost more than $4400 for all of that and produce no income so...maybe when we are richer and $10k is pocket money we can explore these sorts of things. We still on that grind.

...thanks for reading today's post. I hope you found my moan to be an interesting topic. If the price were not so high, we could offer better liquidity for investors, create another use case for SPI with a liquidity provider rewards pool and of course (semi) lock up some SPI's into an LP and out of general circulation. There might not be much demand for SPI tokens but if enough are removed, demand should increase. I mean I dont think it would decrease, right?

image.png

With that, all said, who the fook uses the tribaldex website anyways? I've never used the swap pools, have you? I've only used to transfer ownership of a token and set up a miner and I and dont think the average user is doing that stuff. I'd use it more and so would other it thing cost 200-500 BEE. Maybe im just a cheap Charlie. Wait...

We'd be promoting them. Nah, I've changed my mind and 180'd on this. It's not that we can't afford it, it's cause they dont deserve our business. They should be paying us FFS. Yeah, that'll stick if I preach it long enough 😉

Peace, and have a great rest of your day are evening.

Hello friend, maybe hive had a more accessible price when they set the price but another bear market is approaching where you can create your project luck and success

What would be the value of such a SPI pool? Do you think many people would have a need for it? It would not drive any additional volume, but cannibalize volume from the "normal" SPI/Swap.Hive pair.
Would it be cheaper to swap SPI to e.g. LEO compared to change to Swap.Hive first? And you would have to pay pool liquidity providers some incentive to put their SPI in the pool, right?

I've seen a few post with the word tribaldex, but not sure what it really is, but I am not a person that would try to build a token and I think that is what tribaldex is for. I just took a quick look at their page. Yep-way above my head.

I am however grateful for you looking for ways to expand and reap more rewards for the token holders.

Hive Engine is super centralized, very expensive and too limited.
I am betting on it but I do not like the way it is going…
