Sportstalk Curation Showcase #18

Hello and welcome to another edition of the Sportstalk Curation Showcase where we put the spotlight back on the community highlighting our very own authors. I do apologize as I missed one or two posts over the last few days for curation due to electricity interruptions.

The following posts are all live meaning they fall within the 7 day window for curation. The idea is to give a flavor of what the Sportstalk tribe has to offer and we welcome anyone to come and post on their sporting topics. Please remember if you are not active on Hive with regard to commenting and replies users will be ignored for extra curation. Posting is only half the job being done as more is expected of you.

Two Irishmen to row across the Atlantic Part 3

First up this week is @ablaze and his epic story regarding the two Irish nutcases rowing across the Atlantic. This is Part 3 and the story is seriously interesting and not what you would expect. Taking on a challenge like this things will automatically go wrong as they just have to. If you haven't read any of this story yet I suggest you go back to Part 1 and Part 2 first. @ablaze is a good story teller so I know everyone will enjoy this series.

BASKETBALL IS NOT JUST A SPORT

@thejamest is new to our community and shares his story and his love for basketball. There is always some influence from friends or family members that makes us take up a certain sport and what @thejamest has done is taken a somewhat different route after watching youtube videos. When I grew up youtube wasn't around so I suppose this could influence youngsters today. This is the story of how he moved from watching youtube to playing the sport and it shows the passion he has for basketball.

What A Start!

@mckane loves sport and when there is no football he doesn't stop posting but finds something else that interests him to write on. I see too many users give up and are limited in their sporting knowledge. We are all better than one trick ponies and this proves what is possible. @mckane gave a weekend round up of what he found interesting. Roger Federer one of Tennis all time greats announced his retirement this week. Federer is a household name around the world and this is big news which is always sad to draw the curtain down on such an illustrious career. @mckane must be a glutton for punishment as he watched the England Italy game which England obviously lost. Talk about a weak National team that has disappointment written all over the upcoming World Cup.

NFL Football in WISCONSIN-PACKERS!

@melinda010100 shares a day out with the Green Bay Packers playing the Chicago Bears in the NFL. I do enjoy personal posts with the real story of what fans do during the build up to the game. We just don't see enough of these shared experiences as this is what true sport is all about. The day out and the enjoyment of just being a fan. I don't follow the NFL really but it is great to see what actually goes on and really appreciate these posts.

Spurs Win 6 - 2 but are Still Not Clicking. Conte spotted in Turin is a Worry.

@blanchy as a Spurs supporter worrying about his beloved manager being spotted in Turin. This actually made me giggle as he is Italian after all and with the International break I suppose he is allowed a few days off. Conte is not going anywhere as the club is fulfilling all of his needs and desires purchasing the players he has asked for. On this post what caught my eye was the comment section as it did make me laugh.@amirtheawesome1 complaining about the lack of paragraphs and the reply just makes you smile. Comments and replies is what makes the post and takes it to another level so always engage with your followers.

This week we had another mixed bag and actually having no football to report on is possibly a good thing. A big thankyou to the community once again for staying active and supporting each other.

"Basket ball is not just a sport" was an inspirational piece of content to read through, it painted slightly the same picture of my journey with football as a young lad. More success to him.
Congratulations to all the content creators featured, more ink to your pens.

Always a pleasure saving blanchy's posts from painful mediocrity.
