Happy Birthday Hive! πŸŽ‚ & How To Open Brown Coconuts πŸ”ͺπŸ₯₯

D55CCAF9-CBDC-4BA8-A014-A3E9428368DA.jpeg

Happy Saturday to everyone and Happy Birthday to Hive! It was a very fast year. During this year I have struggled to work a lot in Hive.

At first time I made post I think not have people support my post because my English is not good but that’s not true. Although I do not much English language I still have the people and friends so much like and support me.

I feel like give thanks to Hive and Hive friends so much. You all make me feel I have so much love in Hive. Your support makes me never want to give up this work.

I would like to blog every day. Hive is nice in my life and Hive made my family have a better life in Suriname. I wish Hive is very good forever and you all well everywhere you are.

I know so many people know how to open brown coconuts, but I think maybe the style is not the same and maybe some people don’t know how to do it also, so I would like to show how to open brown coconuts.

First I cut coconut shell from top to bottom and cut like that around coconut.

Then peel off the coconut shells.

My two daughters try to help me.

Some coconuts are difficult to peel because its shell is hard and especially the coconut butt is so hard, so we need to cut around its butt, then it’s easier to pull it.

This is Cambodian style coconut husking. How do you do it in your country?

The coconut looks like a monkey smiling 🐡.

This is a small coconut but it has thick coconut meat. I love to drink coconut water and love to eat it in food also. I hope you all enjoyed this post. Have a nice week everyone.

The cake looks really delicious.
But I am amazed by your little one doing the job.

Hopefully all right there sis.

I think using the feet to peel the husk off is the way to go. Monkey-B is a smart one!

This is very impressive that children can do this. I tried my hand at opening one of these bad boys one day and failed badly!

With 2 girls... I am not sure if I should call it a day or not... girls are quite independent, sometimes. I don't talk by experience. LOL...

But on the boy's side, yeah... too many hormones! 🀯🀣

Opening coconuts is hard! How do I do it? I use a bow-saw and a small crowbar...and it's still hard. The way that the "nut" is packaged inside of the fibers and hard outer shell truly is amazing. I love to see your girls helping. Here's some !LUV 1

I love coconuts. You make it look so easy to open them. We used to struggle so much with them, but once you open them it is so worth it!
We used to tap holes on the 3 dark spots to get the water out before opening it. Although it didn't come naturally to us. We had to watch a video to show us how to do it.

Great post @sreypov, thank you for sharing,
hugs

I'm sorry for late reply to you πŸ™πŸ». I love coconut too, I like to open green coconut more than dry. When I open the dry coconut a few fruits up to my hands will a little bit hurt because some dry coconut is very dried difficult to open. Thank you a lot @holisticmom for your comment. πŸ₯°πŸ˜˜

That's ok @sreypov, we are both busy moms so I understand πŸ€—.

I love green coconuts, the texture of the coconut flesh is much better when they are green. We cannot get them here in England, only the older ones but when we lived in Mexico I had some then and it was delicious.

Yes the older ones are certainly difficult to open.
Hugs to you xx πŸ€—πŸŒΌπŸ’š
