To begin the new year, I have decided to make a AMA blog to answer the variety type of questions from my followers. your question may come from any angle either about my newbies initiative project, music, movies, my school, personal hive experience or even relationships. I am open to them.
I feel this would be the best time for Hive newbies out there having a struggle to drop me their questions as well.

WHO IS STARSTRINGS01
Starstrings01 AKA Giftedhands is a Hive lover, a Nigeria musician (Guitarist) and also a student who studies Mechatronics Engineering in the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

Lovely way to begin the New year
I remember you spoke about your weakest point in the Hive community, when you were still a newbie. The period where you had less than $1 consecutive vote in about 4 different posts. I can imagine how you felt sef...
You also said you took a break, maybe out of frustration 🤣🤣🤣 but then you came back and struggled till you got to this point.
My question is, what exactly was your driving or motivating force??? What kept pushing you to come back amidst the disappointment and seemingly hopelessness?

My driving force was actually being focused on the future and not the present. I saw how @josediccus had gone far as one of the top Nigerians on hive and I said to myself that if he could get to this point, I can.
To achieve this, I knew that I only had to focus on being long term on hive and endure the process since everyone started at a certain low point.

Thinking long term is essential
Many of our youths only focus on short term enjoyment and flexing, and they don't know that their actions have long term negative effects...
They don't think about the Future!!!

Yeah truly, long term is essential if not, I would have not been to this point.
My advice is that sometimes, you should try to build your stake. Save up some HBD then power it up or leave some posts in 100% power up.
Like today, I converted $82 HBD to Hive and I powered up everything.

Well I hope I don't have any urgent payment to make and without cash also when the time comes....
This is actually my plan
To leave the first 30Hive I convert in my Hive wallet/account in case of emergency...
Then the next step is, the next income I'll convert 10 Hive and the remaining 10HBD will be left for Savings...
After that, the next income will be focused on Powering Up.
Then with time, if income increases, savings, powerup and all will also increase
The aim is that, I know I don't have much now... so if I need an urgent cash, I may not have the time to wait for 3days (for duration for savings withdrawal) or even 7 days (duration for powering down withdrawal)....
So this will help a lot

Yes it is. Work on a time you know it is convenient for you to create posts instead of rushing on random times. Quality of posts matters as well.

You said you at some point you left hive what made you leave then before the come back?
I came back during the period of Corona. You know that at that period, people were finding all kinds of means to survive and I had lost a lot of money in investing in platforms that failed.
I was told by a friend to come back and that Hive has been forked from steem and that the system is a lot better. So I decided to give it a try.
Ohh I see now.
I believe this new year will unfold many greater milestones on the hive blockchain. I am looking forward to establishing a great relationship between Ghana and Nigeria on the hive blockchain this year. With your help, I believe we can bring changes to the African continent so far as the blockchain is concerned.

If I am to start again on Hive.. I seriously can't say because I don't have much of the time to work on the account because of school activities but I know it would be faster than how I grew this account.
Do you know why? Because now I know many things I didn't know when I started this account. I know what I need to do to get visibility and the work I need to put in.
Also if I begin with a new account, and some of my present follows get to notice it, they may begin to support it.
Generally, it is not just about creating new account but about the person who owns the account that determines how much it would grow.

I m a bit more interested in your academics, when I got closer to you and found you were a student, I must say I was amazed, but I also know how much pressure it might bring on studies.
So how have you been coping and what are your plans after school, are you gonna get a job? Hahaha
Smiles... I would most likely not get a job. My plans after school is not yet sure. I have options at the moment either to go full time Hiver and also learn programming to back it up or continue my occupation as an engineer.
My father owns an elevator company, I like the job and know a little about the job. Knowing more about it do not really require anything I am being taught in school self.
Coming to my education, the truth is I am not doing well. My last semester result was the poorest ever. I even had my first carryover and that due to the fact that I fell sick during exams.
Now I have a lot of things on my plate and always have a lot of thoughts thinking of how to balance them.
Sorry about the sickness, I was aware then, you mentioned it in a post. (I was practically shadowing you,lol, have probably read all your posts).
Well, it is good, all your options are nice especially the Elevator engineering.. It could mean walking into already made connections from Dad. Starting your own line of business and employing people is also not a bad idea.
For school.. It has always been like that, we having to sacrifice one thing for another. I pray God helps you. A tip I used for academics is reading in group and having group discussions. Topics can be shared among members and each reads and lead a discussion on it enlightening the whole group.
That way, everyone takes your meeting time seriously, also everyone checks on the other person.
This helps and helped me a lot while in school.

My main interest is getting to know more about how your Newbies initiative works. It's a great opportunity to get exposure here on Hive and I'm sure it's high time I get that exposure too. Im guessing they'll be a new batch this month, what would it take to be part?.
I've been really good with engagement but sometimes it just feels like I've been making engagement in the wrong places. I need advice, how do I get productivity out of my engagement?
What would it take to be part of the initiative? It just needs you to apply, a minimum of 65 rep and 500 HP to be accepted in the initiative.
