Dilemma: Hive Power or HBD in Savings

Greetings, everyone!

HIVE resisted incredible well in this bearish market, in actually increased in value compared to the BTC.

I believe this is an important sign of recognition of the utility of this token and therefore I decided to liquidate my small HBD savings and power-up all this on my HIVE account.

I paid 0.488043 HBD/HIVE, and it was not an easy decision, as HBD in savings comes with a 20% APR:

Anyone else with the same thinking behind?

I think that the best strategy is using the actual system of rewards 50%/50%. If yo le need to use de money use only hbd, and leave HIVE for the long term.

Even if HIVE price is cheap you cam buy it with hbd, but right now the market is very dangerous

I'm very new here. Can you please enlighten me on why the APY is not a burden to the ecosystem? I'm having Terra UST Anchor protocol 20% APY flashback; they feel oddly similar. Or point me to sources that explain how HBD and HBD staking works (the HIVE whitepaper doesn't explain it). I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Yeah I get your plight, sorry about your experience with UST. I’ll go check for the posts and link them here in a bit

Im trying to achieve a balanced position of them both. At the point I’ve built my savings to I can now fully support a monthly dca into hive power funded by interest from hbd.

I think it's a good decision. If I wasn't doing the Saturday Saver's Club, I probably would do the same with my liquid HBD. Just think, do you think Hive will surpass 20% gains? If you do, then you might as well.
