You need to build more of a following through connecting with people, e.g. comments on their posts. The whales have hundreds of people wanting their votes, so you cannot expect their support all the time. Also, you should reply to comments and not just tag people all the time. Tagging people creates extra, unnecessary notifications.

Create value, be interesting and have fun. Don't just concentrate on the money.
