The port of Pescara has been one of the most important Italian ports in times past.
As far back as Roman times, this harbour served the livelihood of the surrounding population.
The Marina of Pescara is quite large and has a total area of 200,000 square metres.
The harbour is dedicated to both fishing and tourist activities.
There are four filling stations for boats and several mobile cranes.
In the 1980s, a plan was devised to give this port a more touristic connotation.
With 1250 berths, the Marina di Pescara is one of the largest marinas in Italy.
The port also includes an area with shops and restaurants in addition to the various services already offered for yachtsmen.

Il porto di Pescara, anche nei tempi passati, è stato uno dei porti italiani più importanti.
Già dai tempi dei romani questo porto serviva per il sostentamento della popolazione circostante.
La Marina di Pescara è piuttosto ampia ed ha una superficie totale di 200.000 metri quadrati.
Il porto è dedicato sia alle attività di pesca sia ad attività turistiche.
CI sono 4 stazioni di rifornimento per le barche e alcune gru mobili.
Negli anni 80 si è pensato ad un piano per dare a questo porto una connotazione più turistica.
Con 1250 posti barca la Marina di Pescara è uno dei più grandi porti turistici italiani.
Il porto comprende anche un'area in cui sono presenti negozi e ristoranti che vanno ad aggiungersi ai vari servizi già offerti per i diportisti.

Aprire un ristorante di pesce in un posto come questo sembra un'idea commerciale adeguata per mantenersi sul mercato (specie ora con un governo di destra, che storicamente non tratta l'imprenditore come il nemico pubblico numero uno, a differenza delle sinistre).
Ciao Pou, questo porto ha radici storiche ed ha portato cibo (pesce) a tanti italiani anche all’epoca dei romani. 40 anni fa è stato deciso di dargli una connotazione turistica ed i lavori eseguiti nell’arco di 20 anni sono stati buoni e secondo me hanno raggiunto l’obiettivo. Da quel che ho letto qua e la oggi Pescara è uno tra i porti turistici più grandi d’Italia

Questo porto in passato è sempre stato una fonte di sostentamento per le popolazioni locali. Qualche storico ha scritto che anche all’epoca dei romani questo porto forniva cibo a tante persone che abitavano in italia.
