So Whitcliffe came in amongst the also-rans yesterday, finishing 6th of 11, having led for much of the first mile and a quarter, before being overtaken inside the last 2 furlongs, weakening quickly inside the last furlong.
And again, our cheeky extra bet didn't come to fruition either with Forebearing struggling throughout to make an impression and being tailed off in 12th and last place.

No cheeky extra bet today. Although Hollie does have rides booked at Yarmouth, only one race there has an extra place (paying 3 places instead of 2) and Hollie's ride Must Be Royale is a whopping 40-1 shot, and therefore not likely to feature.
Extra info regarding Hollie Doyle, and part of the reason I follow and bet on her rides, becomes obvious when looking at the current flat seasons champion jockey standings at this relatively early stage, where she is riding high in 3rd place with 16 winners from 77 rides (a strike rate of 21%) , just 1 winner behind the leader Ben Curtis (he has had less rides though), and last year's runner up William Buick. There is no doubt in my mind that she is definitely one to follow and a future Champion Jockey (perhaps even this year - fingers crossed).
