Legit or Not

Hello beautiful people. Time does fly, feels like yesterday when @galenkp gave us some amazing prompts. This week is full of some very creative and sensitive topics as I see them. I am going with the topic of The Pornography Industry. I believe it is not legit. I have multiple reasons for that. Before that, I would like to put a slight trigger warning and tell you that I will be very open and clear and I am sure that you all will comprehend it because we all are mature adults here.

The industry has more harms than benefits if we speak realistically. People watch porn videos and expect the same to be happening in their sex life. It is not possible for any porn video is more or less like a movie in which actors are playing their respective roles. This misconception has troubled many around the world.

For that matter, the sex life is disturbed in the cases of many porn addicts. I call it addiction because it plays with the hormones like adrenaline. One of my friends is an advocate who told me that many divorce cases are related to this issue. Men do not have stamina to last longer or huge genitals like those in the adult videos and women do not have those bodies similar to adult pornstars. This happened to a friend of mine as well.

It is religiously culturally and physically not legit as well. For instance, anal sex is prohibited in many religions and cultures including. Physically, it leads to diseases and infections like Gonorrhea.

Porn has put thousands of people into inferiority complex. This pertains to the fact that the industry portrays adult stars with six pack abs with muscular bodies and long genitals as ideal bodies. Normally, majority of us do not have such bodies which puts us in a position that we will not be the ideal self for our partners. This leads to mental trauma and depression.

Other than that, another thing that makes me feel that porn is not legit is that it has mutilated the family relations. In my country and even around the world, the relationship of a mother and son irrespective of being real or step is a beautiful relationship. It involves truest and purest form of love. This is something I personally feel disgusting about porn.

Porn has attacked on the persona of a woman as well. It has objectified women in all forms. I mean it has made different categories for the parts of womens body. A womans dignity should be spared to stop the rising number of sexual assaults against women.

Obviously, the entire blame cannot be levelled against this industry. But I personally assign a major chunk of credit to it. Hence, for me, the porn industry is not legit at all. My opinion has come from first hand knowledge. It took away my focus for a long long time. Your views about this may differ and I will respect that.
