Today we celebrate all those favorites we love to get a quick bite at. Fast food was recognized in the US back in the 1950's. But actually began long before that. White Castle dates back to 1921 as a result of a guy selling a burger out of a streetcar, set up similar to the food trucks we know today. I do like the little mini burgers they make but have no White Castle near me. I can't really choose a favorite of the ones I do like. You can read all about National Fast Food Day here.

I do like several of them but I don't go to them very often. It also depends on the choice of food and what I got to spend when I do decide to go to one.

I do love to go to KFC anytime I have the opportunity to get fast food. Simply because I can get a good fulfilling meal & the cost isn't too bad. Of what's available to me I have to choose this as my favorite. What I really miss from back in the day is Church's Chicken. I used to visit them quite regularly when I lived up north, but since I moved to the south there are very few in the areas I've visited. The closes on to me is a good 1hr to an 1hr & a half from me. And also it's in an area that I no reason to visit.

While KFC is less then a mile from me, so when I choose fast food that's who usually gets a visit from me.

So what is your favorite fast food restaurant?

I also like Church's Fried Chicken. We don't have any near us, but then again now that we live in the countryside there aren't any fast food places around us. We have to drive into the city.

I understand the delimma, when I lived up north, it was like mostly city so you didn't have to go far for fast food. But now that I moved to the south, it's more country & although I do live in the city part of my county, there aren't a lot of choices when it comes to fast food and some of them I never heard of til I got here. I live in a small town & anything really good is in the next county over, a good 20 - 30 miles.
