I'm Thriving On Hive, How About You?

'Thriving On Hive'?

I had a long & different week but I still continue to 'thrive on hive'. I started babysitting one of my great=grandsons so his mother could work. He's here a couple of nights a week from 2:30pm til 5:00am, and even though he's sleep from about midnight I'm still sotting up. So I spend most of that time working on my post (when my brain allows it), but once those nights are done I have to get used to him not being here and trying to revert back to my daytime schedule. It's hard to just change gears like that, but after about a month or so my body will adjust on it's own and it'll be a regular thing.

This Week's Tracking Sheet

This week my tracking sheet shows where I did most of the activities on a daily basis. This is key to thriving on hive and earning as much as possible. You will notice that I did absolutely nothing on Saturday, I didn't even do my daily power up. but that's okay, it's just one day. I had so much personal stuff to do I guess you could say I took a personal day. We all need that once in a while.

I'm still learning about delegating & Game Fi but will try my hand at them next week. The real way to learn how to do something is after you've done your research, take a leap of faith and give it a try.

That's it for this week. Thanks for reading!

See Ya next week!!

What's this 'Thrive on Hive'?

Well this is the latest challenge I'm doing from the CTP tribe. the goals have been laid out & the tasks of how to get there have been set. I have already achieved goal 1 but that doesn't mean that I stop doing the tasks. I will post periodically (weekly at minimum) to report my successes and failures (if any).

Here's the Goals & Task as set forth;

Screenshot 7915.png

Now here you may notice that everything is not on my tracking sheet as it is on the goals, the reason being is that I just don't do that thing or it's not for me. It's not about my comfort zone either. I don't play Splinterlands so there's no need to include it in my daily activity. I also left out D.C.A. to hive daily, not because I’ve already reach goal 1 but because I just don't have it like that and I try to DCA on a weekly basis when I'm doing my weekly goals update.

I hope I can achieve that 1,000 HIVE Power by the end of the month. The second goal is still too far for me.

It took me til the end of April this year to reach that point, I think when I did a challenge called HiveBloPoMo helped to push me up. This challenge was to do a blogpost everyday of the month & set the rewards to 100% HP. It's coming up again in November and I'm going to try & do it again but I don't know how that's going to work with all the other stuff I started recently. It was very challenging then and I wasn't doing as much as I am now.
Anyways, with a little perseverance & investment (time/money) I can see it happening for you!

Thats great work even though you fell off the horse! 25Hive a day is a big task!

Thanks! That's a lot of work.

25 a day is huge, I'm barely making 2 a day & on days that I manage 6 or 7, took a huge wear on me or I just happen to be on a roll getting out post after post for a couple of days. I don't know if I could do that everyday.... I also think my slow computer plays a big role in how much I can get done. I have plans to get a new one but that's not for a couple of months.

I would like to see that happen though, I'd even settle for 25 a day 2 or 3 times a week.

That's not an easy thing to go back to a normal daytime schedule even after only a week of the overnight thing. That baby is a real night owl. And you're still showing up and doing something every day. That's awesome Charletta!

Well, it's not too bad since I'm usually up til the wee hrs anyway. Also, I have to pick mu husband up every night from work, that takes about 2 hours out of my time. I only have the baby 3 nights a week and besides it's helping my grandaughter build a better life.
Hive is my job, so I must show up everyday & make it happen. Plus I'm having fun learning & earning when I'm on Hive.

It's fun to show up here on Hive for sure. And that's awesome what you're doing to help your granddaughter get on her feet. Enjoy your day and the week ahead. 😀

A day off is very smart every once in a while, especially when you have irregular working hours and work from home a lot / fully. I have a harder time taking some me time since I've been working from home compared to when I worked for a boss :)

I'm personally trying to get in the routine of working ahead on one task one day, and focus on another the other day so I stay in a better flow but I guess I should just consider these last days before school (hopefully) starts as a loss because it's hard to focus more than 10 mins at once. I will accept it and catch up once she's at school :)

I hope the little one will give you some quiet hours during the night, and that your brain allows you to write. It's very nice of you to offer to babysit so his mother can work <3

Me Time? What's that? LOL!

In 2014 when I lost the last job I held and 6 months later couldn't find another one, I decided I would return to trying to make money online and nothing else. Whenever I took on some kind of work outside of the house it was on my terms & the alterative motive was to make money for my work at home job. I haven't held a 9-5 since. It wasn't until mid-2019 when I officially found a way to make money on line and not have to pester others with what I do. That's when CTP was relaunched and the training lead me to the blockchain (Steem) which then lead to Hive 1n early 2020.

I gets my me time through what I do here with an occasional day where I go out with my husband but even before I go out I usually take the time to do my daily power up & see what's going on. When I return I usually do a little work . I also have me time everyday before I sit down to my computer, and when I take short breaks throughout the day.
I've been trying to get on a schedule but it never seems to happen. I don't have children at home to worry about so I just take each day as it comes and move from task to task, personal & business.

I'm pretty adaptable & I had to train my brain to actually work past 9pm. Some nights the little on stays up later then I would like but having to pick my husband up, he's usually sleep by the time we get back home at nearly midnight. So it works and it gives me a little extra to invest, although I'm saving most of it toward a new computer which will help me produce faster & free up time for other things.

You are doing the most important part, Char. Showing up every day.
The rest falls into place.

Gee! I wish it was as easy as it sounds. But you're right, I can't tell you how many days I sit down here and say 'ok, what to do now'? I really have to think about what to do next, that's not so easy when you have 50 things that need to be done now.

Thank you for your info Char!
You do a wonderful detail about what #thriveonhive is all about.
I love all your text dividers! They are so cool.
I hope the baby sitting gets easier for you.
Have a great day and evening!

Thanks for your positive compliments!
The baby sitting isn't that bad, it's just that he's never been away from mom & he's almost 2yrs old. So I believe it'll get better soon.

Great post! I really like that task tracking sheet that you have. One of my mentors used to say "Anything that you track, you'll become better at"!

Nice growth strategy...

Thanks!

And that's true, tracking is very important to just about everything you do. When you track you get to see what you're doing and where you need to improve. and there is whole heap of info you get from tracking. where you've been, what you're not doing enough of. I have tracking sheets for many things because if I don't I'll forget to do things so I need lists to check off what I did or did not do. So tracking plays a big role in my success.
