My Month In Review | HiveBloPoMo - A look Back At The Challenge

WOW!!

What month this has been! I have had lots of excitement, fun, educational experiences, a little stress at times, but most of all very engaging.

This Post is to express my experience in the 'HiveBloPoMo' Challenge. This challenge is held twice a year & this is my first experience with it.

What I liked most during this challenge is that it made me commit to posting not only daily but it made me set a time for my post to be completed to meet the daily requirement. It also provided the opportunity for me to combine this challenge with the HivePUM (Hive Power Up Month) challenge & earn my HivePUM Badge.

Let's Review This Past Month

The month started with HivePUD (Hive Power Up Day), I always try to take part in this day cause it gives me the opportunity to power up more hive then usual.
On the second day I sat down to try & put a post together and my mind went blank. I then just started to type while my mind was all over the place, but "Still Nothing". And that became the title of my post which resulted in my writing a peom. You can read here.

There were a few other times I went blank and it took me half a day to find something quick to post as nothing is ever a quick post for mr as I probably spend more time on pictures for my post and then editing at the end. Majority of the time I did meet my deadline, of course there was a few times when it went a little over. I recall 2 situations where I ran really close to daily time, but still managed to get it in with a few minutes to spare.

My computer is terribly slow, so that doesn't help when I running behind. That's when the stress hits me.

There is one post I did and I asked a question and got mo response, not even one person commented. I asked a question cause I thought it would help with engagement. In this particular post, I wrote a poem using certain words given to me to form a writing, I then asked the question to see if anyone would have any Idea who I was talking about. Well although no one even tried I'm going to answer the poem now. You can read the poem here.

Who Are They? - A Mysterious Poem

Affiliate Marketer Gurus & some so called Mentors

I'm not saying that they're all bad, but from my experience when they get big enough & rich enough, you are no longer worthy of their time. Let me explain the thought behind the poem.

When these marketer promote their offer, they make it sound so good you just want to eat it up. The offer takes over your mind body & soul, filling you with the desire to put out your hard earned money.
What they don't tell is all the other stuff you need to buy just to try and make their offer work, and if you can't keep up with the process because maybe you have to wait till payday before you can get to the next step. In the meantime, they continue to move on and those who have money already is making it look like the offer is working. This is where you start to fall behind. Then you get the money to move on but now the group is two steps ahead of and your left hangin cause the guru or mentor is too busy to come back and answer your questions so you can catch up.

As the poem states, they modify your dreams by not being available to you. They call it hand holding. At this point your mindset is squashed and you no longer believe. They rob you of your integrity by teaching you underhanded methods to promote, and finally when you can no longer keep up because you can't catch up and don't have enough money, they have forgotten about you and moved on.

I know this has happened to just about everyone who struggles to keep up with the leader, the one they called their mentor.

Back To The Month's Review

This in the challenge has renewed my confidence & drive to making more out of my time here on Hive. In addition I have seen that there are so many things I can cover and do to make a post everyday. I have posts that add value, some to business & some to life in general. I now know that I can post on things other then business and it still means something to someone other than me.

One last thing that I think is very important is that I learned how to post into other communities through PeakD. I try to use the frontend from my community and it works well but PeakD just has the features to make it easy to post in other communities of interest where I will know I'm posting to the right community.
