Single Mothers!
You don't have to be a single mother to share your thoughts on this, as we all must have seen or been close to one, if not been one. They are mothers too, but how different? Do you have any advice for them to keep pushing?

Having spent many years as a single parent, I always have a point of view on the subject. It’s hard to pick just one thing. But my advice is more for the young single parent who still live at home or in someone else’s home.

Although you have a child, you’re living in someone else’s home. Be respectful, & mindful that there are still rules to follow Just because you are grown and have a child, doesn’t me that you can do whatever you want. You still, must pay bills, clean the house, follow the rules, & watch your child.

Don’t be in a hurry to move out to your own, it’s harder than you think. Like you should have rules for your child (no matter their age), there are rules to follow wherever you call home. You may say ‘there are no rules here’, but there is. Some rules are unspoken & taken for granted that you know what they are.

Like, when you’re finished in the kitchen make sure you leave it clean, and it wouldn’t hurt to even do the dishes while you’re at it. Unless you have your own bathroom in your room, be considerate of the fact that others have to use the bathroom too. Always leave any room in the house that is common areas the way you would want it to be when you walk in the room.

Something to always remember, is that your child is always watching. What you do & say will determine how he/she will act. Children are impressionable and learn from watching & listening to you. So, carry yourself in the way you would like your child to grow.
