Upgrading Your Listnerds Part 3: Transferring & Swapping Out

TIPS for How To Use LN (2).png
Made In Canva

In Part II of Upgrading your listNerds I showed you how to Unstake your listnerds. Now for part three I will show you how to withdraw & swap out your Listnerds to swap.hive and then to Hive.

As I thought about HivePUD last month I had to find a way to get me at least 10 Hive. So on the 29th of April I remembered I had some liquid ListNerds that I could withdraw & swap out. I still have 7 weeks til my big unsteke to complete but since I had this 10 liquid ListNerds, there's no need to wait to show you the process.

The Process of Witdrawing & Swapping to Hive

Step 1 - Liquid ListNerds

Once your unstake is complete it will show in your liquid LiatNerds (Blue box). Now you're ready to withdraw them to Hive-Engine.

Screenshot 5774.png

Step 2 - Withdraw to Hive Engine

You simply click 'Transfer Out' and the box will pop up. It will already have the amount of liquid ListNerds you have in it. If ou want to withdraw less than you have liquid you simply change it to the amount you want to withdraw.

Screenshot 5777.png

After you withdraw the amount will show in your Hive-Engine wallet under ListNerds. I didn't take a screenshot of that. Now you're ready to swap out your ListNerds for Swap.hive.

Step 3 - Sell/Swap for Swap.hive

Now you go to your Hive-Engine account to sell/swap out your ListNerds. Sell/swap out is basically the same thing since you have to sell the token to get swap.hive to then exchange it for Hive or any other token you want. TOnce in Hive engine you can get to your ListNerds by clicking on 'Tokens', 'Market', or 'Wallet'.

Once you're at your ListNerds, you simply click the icon to the right with the two arrows, this brings up the market page to sell or buy your LisyNerds.
Screenshot 6014.png

In the Market scroll down & click on the top amount in red under buy. this is the best price you will get for the tokens at this time. once you click the info for the buy/sell will automatically populate in the field above.

As you see, I was able to get 1.8 Hive for 8 of my ListNerds which was great because the highest going rate is usually only 1.5 Hive.
Also remember to use the right side of the screen which is the sell side. This is of course the reverse cycle of when you want to buy tokens.

No you're ready to swap your swap.hive for Hive.

Step 4 - Swap Swap.hive for Hive

For this tansaction I use HivePay. HivePay is another great platform created by Affiliatech, the creators of CTP, He-Index & ListNerds. This is a very simple process and I like to use this platform for swapping for a couple of reasons.
the fees are cheaper so that means I get to keep a little more of my crypto.
Being a part of the CTP community I support them entirely and know that when they create something it's for the community and not the company.

So there ar just a few steps to this process

Step 4a. when you pull up the site it looks as below but without a name. You put your user name in and it populates the amount of Hive & swap.hive you currently have.
On this day I had 4.74 liquid Hive & 16.361 swap.hive.

Screenshot 5785.png
In the middle you'll see the transaction you're making, I was swapping out 12 of my swap.hive, I choose from the drop down to withdraw from Hive-engine, amount to swap and then the fee populates, which is 0.024. This same transaction would cost me o.1 leaving me with 11.91, which with HivePay I have 11.976.

Step 4b. Once I click swap next to my 12, I get a popup with the information of my transaction for confirmation. I click on the Hive Keychain button and it processes the transaction.
Screenshot 5783.png

Step 4c. then I get the conformation popup that let's me know that my transaction is complete.

Screenshot 5786.png

This isn't part of the proces but just something I do to verify my transaction. I just reload the page and you now see my liquid Hive is 16.450 and my swap.hive is 4.361.

Screenshot 5784.png

I also want to point out that with HivePay you can see if the platform has enough Hive or swap.hive to cover your transaction. To the far right of the screen you see how much the platform holds. This usually isn't a worry for really small transactions, but may be for a large one.

Conclusion

So that's pretty much the whole process of unstaking ListNerds and swapping it out for hive.
There will be one more part to this multi-series post but unfortunately it has to wait til the end of june when my first unstake from ListNerds will be complete and I will then be able to upgrade in ListNerds to complete the process that starte this series.

Thanks.
That's exactly what I was going for. I know many are building right now, but when the time comes it will have all been laid out for them. I try to keep it simple & leave nothing out, that's the perfectionist in me which in this field can sometimes be a very hard quaility to have.

Well Thank You, and what´s in a name, right? But still, this name will probably need a whole post to explain one day ...so the mystery will get solved. !CTP

You're Welcome!

Yeah sometimes a name can say everything & then again it might not have anything to do with you.
I would love to read that post.

I will be sure to read it in it's entirety. I don't always read complete articles when rushing through emails in ListNerds, but this one will definitely get my attention.

Nice job on the tutorial, Charletta! Great details with the screenshots. This demonstrates use case for LISTNERDS as well. I am sure there are plenty of people who will want to knwo how they can take out and trade their LISTNERDS.

Thanks Lisa! sounds like I did my job here, letting people know that they can still build while unstaking & using the funds. The main point though is to show that you leave a nice amount staked so it can continue to grow & you not run out by using what you've already earned.

I think I'm the first person to actually unstake any ListNerds, so this was an opportunity that I couldn't let pass by.

You're welcome, Charletta! And yes, that is a very important point. If you run it all out then it takes forever to grow it back up again. That's what this is all about. Discovering and doing new things and sharing our experiences and how they worked. Have a great day! 😀
