Warning!!! Crypto Phishing Groups Solicit Phony Aid Donations for Ukraine - decrypt.co
Scott Chipolina reports in decrypt.co that "phishing scammers are using Russia’s Ukraine invasion to masquerade as aid organizations and solicit crypto donations.
Citing the cybersecurity firm Expel's research the author states that since the start of the invasion of Ukraine, threat actors have specifically begun to impersonate legitimate aid organizations to exploit people’s desire to support refugees and victims with donations using “Help—Bitcoin,” “Crypto—Account,” and “Help save children in Ukraine” and the like as email titles.
The author concludes that donors should make sure that solicitors of donations for Ukraine are legitimate before making any donations.
