When a person is not eating healthy that would be classified under a poor eating habits which is either the person is under eating or over eating and basically not having enough of the healthy foods needed each day, or consuming too many types of foods and drinks which are low in vital nutrients that is needed for a strong and vibrant lifestyle of living.

Unhealthy style of eating can affect our nutrient intake, nutrients that includes energy, protein, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals as well as fibre and fluid. And when we lack all or some of these nutrients in a day meal that will definitely affect proper growth especially in kids and cause deficiencies. Poor nutrition can impair our well-being, causing sickness and make the body prone to diseases, which will reduce our ability to live an enjoyable and active life. That’s why we need to consider a proper style to eating healthy.

There has been lots of "misconceptions", so many contradictory food studies on what not to eat and how to eat to stay healthy making it looks complicated, overwhelming and hard for some people to follow. For me, a healthy eating should be varied and delicious, a well-balanced diet that would provide me the energy I need throughout the day. I stick to nutrients that would help me to stay strong, that I am allergic to and of course, would keep me active and healthy. These all goes down to eating a healthy balanced diet.

To have a good balanced diet, you can start with having a good variety of healthy foods from the five classes of food each day, which are; Carbohydrates for energy, calcium and B vitamins. These could be food like pasta, rice, oats, potatoes and sweet potatoes. Protein which helps to grow and repair tissues in the body. Food like meat, fish and eggs, nuts, beans and many others gives protein. Fruit and vegetables are brilliant for our diets also. They give vitamins, antioxidants and fibre that keeps the healthy. And lastly, we have the Dairy products filled with so many nutrients such as calcium, protein and vitamins. These are foods, such as milk, cheese and yoghurt.

My Go For Tips

  • To eating healthy, one should aim and go for eating at least two varieties of fruit and vegetables each day.

  • Consider eating sugary, fatty or salty food occasionally, not too often.

  • Drink clean water to stay hydrated, go for fresh fruit drinks instead of sugary drinks because too much sugar isn’t good for the body.

  • Go for good cooked foods instead of processed foods or junks as it is not healthy enough.

Nicely written. You tips are simple, easy to follow and also they capture all what we need to do or change in our diet to have a healthy lifestyle and be vibrant. For me, I majorly stick to eating good cooked food. I don't go for junks and I don't eat out. I prefer to prepare my our meal.

Cooking your own meal is the best option, you can get to decide your own choice of species and ingredients to use that you know is best for your health, instead of the ones cooked outside.
