Sabudana Khichdi

Sabudana Khichdi is not like any other khichdi. The name khichdi in itself sounds like something an ill person would prefer. But this one is extremely tasty and is great for breakfast. Lot of people prefer it during their fasts, you can use the same recipe without adding onions for your fasts. Since Sabudana are high on starch, these must be cooked very well else they turn chewy and sticky.

Sabudana must be soaked in levelled, cold water, this is an important step. If the soaking is not properly done, grains would stick to each other.

Looks delicious!! Most people don't know sabudana or sago can be used in savory dishes. They are mostly used in desserts, especially in Cambodia, where I lived for 10 years. Awesome recipe!!
