I don't know how to write...

From the title, you could think that this is probably an article on what to do when you don't know what or how to write it this is literally me right now. I started off on hive some three months ago with the intention of writing fictional stories that create awareness about medical conditions but I still haven't been able to put that in place till date. I won't give unnecessary excuses, I just couldn't! The whole thing was very overwhelming to me at the beginning and to be honest, it still is. This time around however I have decided to ditch my story writing ideas for a while and just start by writing from my heart. My ideas, my thoughts and things about my life or life in general. Now that school's already resume, that would suit me better with little to no stress compared to what I had in mind initially. By the way I read a post that says it is a good thing when writers write about myriad topics, I think the poster was right.

I am beginning to get my way around the community though, it was probably lack that of proper understanding of how things work that made me more overwhelmed compared to how I am now. Within two days of actually spending more time on hive, I have already met some good writers which I have given a follow and also engaged others in some topics of interests. When one really takes things easy it is just like Facebook or Twitter that many of us cannot go thirty minutes without checking, so I have decided to make hive my Facebook and my Twitter for now, just to see how it goes for me because I a really looking forward to enjoying it.

I also recently saw challenges flying around and it was very interesting reading people's entries on these challenges. I intend to hop on any latest I can see. I saw one earlier this evening but it had to do with photography and since it is night, I couldn't go and take a photo of one of the most beautiful places I know in my school, I will definitely do so tomorrow. I love challenges!

I have come to realize that you don't have to be a writer to be on hive. To be honest, I am not much of a writer myself. My original intention of publishing stories here was birthed from the fact that I was trying to improve my writing skills at that time so I decided to start writing stories about what I have truly have knowledge on, which is medicine. I have improved alot though but I am still in the process of learning. I am not just ready to start publishing them here. Even if you don't know how to write, hiveblog is still for you!

I had in mind to create at least a post a say when I made a resolution to get back into hiveblog, but again I realized that I might not have something to write about on some days, but since I want to write from my heart,

*I will write whenever it feels right to write. *

Thanks for reading.

I started off on hive some three months ago with the intention of writing fictional stories that create awareness about medical conditions.

Many newbies try to look smart, by trying to raise awareness or trying to teach others. As you said it, it's not easy and this is why many turn to spinning articles, without sourcing them and that is plagiarism.

Don't try to look smart, don't try to do something you can't. No one is expecting you to look the smartest and write academic level stories about medical conditions. Those who are interested in such things will consult a specialist or go to specialized platforms.

Write something that you're passionate about. Be yourself and it will be ok. Join those challenges if you like the task as it can help you lift off, start writing.

Because you're a newbie, let me drop you a few suggestions to help you navigate better on our platform.

We have different communities on Hive and we're encouraging users to post in the right community based on the topic of the post.

Here's a guide I put together to help you learn about how communities work and why you should use them -> Communities Explained - Newbie Guide. I also put together a list of communities, which is not complete, there are much more communities on Hive, but it will help you get started.

Please don't delete any post with the purpose of reposting it in another community as that can be considered abuse! Good luck!

Thank you so much. I really have come to realize that. I really didn't have it in mind to educate people on medical conditions directly, I wanted to make it in the form of fictional stories which I was doing before joining hive, still tho one has to do some research 😂.
Like you said, just be yourself. That's the best and most fun way to live your best hive life.
Thanks for the tip and the links, would definitely check em out.
Thanks once again👍
